opinions on Loomis MBR845C GL3?

Looking for opinions on Loomis rod in the GL3. I have a Loomis jig rod in GLX and it is the best rod I have ever fished.
This particular rod is only available in the GL3 material and I would be using it for flipping clearlake and the Delta. Is there a reason GL3 is better for this type of rod than GLX?

disappointed with the GL3 after using a GLX. You really don't need the extra power as the MBR844 in the GLX series is as tough a rod you'll ever need in the Delta or Clear Lake. I have 4 GLX MBR844's and rig all with 20# test line, for pitching jigs to big plastics and have never had a problem. Oh, and BTW, I know where one is sleeping in Disappointment if you have time to drag for it!
