Perfect Co-Angler bag?

Post by snapitoff2002 »

My friend let me borrow a Tackle Logic bag for the last tournament so I wouldn't have to bring one too big..(Cause I am a tackle whore, and my boat has 700lbs of crap in it lol). Now I'm having trouble locating those (they are nice, and very very durable zippers and material). Considering a bag that's able to fit in the passenger compartment, or comforably below your leg, what is a good bag?

One that's big enough for a 2-3 boxes, worms, terminal tackle, and a few swimbaits, but still fits nicely out of the way....

The very best co-angler bag is made by Berserk Baits (www.berserkbaits.com). If you want to stay light and small, go with the 3600 size like I have. You can have the strap down straps put on the top like the Ultimate tackle bag. It is amazingly durable and light. I would also consider the Attack Pack. Saves you time when you need baits or rigging...all right at your hips.

If you have some questions, drop me a line or contact Berserk Baits and tell them I sent you.

Cabella's Magnum bag

Loads from the top. Enough room for my jerky, water, tackle, life vest, rain gear, gloves, bennie, pliers, etc. One bag holds it all. It's kind of big but again, EVERYTHING in one bag at my feet!!

The Tournament Tackle bag looks very nice. Will it fit in most rear lockers? Also do you know what brand of hooks they use in their football head jigs?

Try the Plano Guide Series or Soft Sider bags. Look at the ones with the molded waterproof base. Plenty of room for 3600 or 3700 series boxes and small enough to fit in any rear compartments. Perfect for co-angler/non-boater.

for my "I gotta carry everthing" bag I use a modified version of this in the 3700 setup:

I've installed side straps (the handle on the top of the flap is horrible and the bag tears) and cut the top flap off. holds a ton of stuff and sits nicely in the footwell

my usual setup is a simple plano 3700 bag for boxes - I use the smaller plano 3705 boxes ($3 at walmart) since they are 1/2 the size of the 3700. I also have a small duffel, gym bag sized, that I carry an open top plastic box within along with balance beam, culling tags, etc. that's my go to box, I load it with the days planned lures/baits/hooks/pliers/etc. As I go thru rod/bait setups I toss what I've used into the box and pull out the next attempt, this way it helps keep me out of the main tackle bag and forces me to have a plan before heading out. I can post photos of my setup if anybody is interested

This looks like a sweet bag from BPS! The price is sweet too! I'd get this if I didnt already have a bag!

This is a good bag, I have it too. However, I feel it's a little big for pro-ams.. perfect for all day, no limit on tackle though.. I agree.. Just looking for one a bit smaller.

That box has everything you need in it! Extra bobbers, extra reel, extra rod handle, haha.

I know it is not popular to suggest to us bassmen NOT to buy something but...
For my last tournament I used a backpack that I had. I could not find my tackle pack. It worked just as well and was easier to carry with a handfull of rods.
I would rather jog home from my own Vasectomy than spend Saturday at the mall.

The best bag I have found for tackle whores like me is the okachobee (sp) thing at wal-mart. Go ahead and laugh, but it is solid set up for a lot of gear and is cheap.
