We forget that Northern strain LMB that population the lower Colorado River/Imperial reservoir are not Florida strain we have become familiar with 10 lb NLMB is equal to a 15 lb FLMB imo.

The original LMB in both Castiac and Pyramid were Northern strain bass from Van Norman dam.
Smallmouth were planted into Pyramid and Florida strain into Castiac around 1973 and to the best of my knowledge FLMB were not stocked by the DFG in Pyramid. Pyramid has a few FLMB and more then likely transferred from Castiac by anglers.
