2 Piece Rod
2 Piece Rod
I work near the Tuolomne river and figured I would start giving it a shot fishing on my lunch breaks. Whats a good 2-piece casting rod on the market? I know the Damiki makes one for about 80 bucks, any experience?

I assume you need a two piece for traveling purposes? I think with two piece rods, you're gonna be limited to certain restraints which will impact performance and price. A two piece rod for $8o would be be a good rod in my opinion, if that's what your limited to. Otherwise, I would a one piece and go with either the Skeet Reese rods or the Abu Garcia Vendetta rods. I fish both and think they are great for the price as far as weight, feel and receptiveness. Good luck with you search and good luck on the river.

My truck rod is a Damiki angel ex, it's a good rod for the miney. I wouldnt buy one if I didnt need a 2 piece but it serves it's purpose. You could always take a 1 piece rod of your liking and have a rod builder 2 piece it for you, it's pretty simple to do.

Get a hold of Steve's custom rods or B2 customs rods, they may be able to build you a ferrulite rod ,no metal ferrule, to suit your needs ? They both do great work !

If you're willing to forego warranty options there are plenty of decent 2-pc JDM rods you can order from the likes of japantackle, plat, etc.
I have a graphiteleader 2pc (7'H) and a 6'9"(MH) that were not that spendy and pretty sensitive. Other brands like Majorcraft, Evergreen, etc are also worth a look.
