This is from a Cali Fishing Group... Anyone else been there recently?
Hi all, I took these pictures yesterday in Stockton CA at pixley slough. I am in touch with the city and hope to see some type of resolution. However this isn’t the first year we have had this happen, so my faith in a permanent solution is low.
If the city fails to implement a permanent solution, does anyone have any advice as to whom I should take this to? I have spoke with the hatchery (lots of new lingo for me) at the Mokelumne River and was basically told that they aren’t worried about it because Of the record amount fo salmon bref this year and last.

Re: Pixley Slough
That's a couple blocks away from my house. They keg up there every year. The game warden has a field day citing all the morons that go in there and snag them. Since it's Stockton, a fair amount of these snaggers also have warrants so they get a ride to jail as well.
As for the impact to the fishery, every dead end slough in the Delta has lost fish every year. Lots more than this little ditch in the picture.

Dam every year like that. I am at a Ladds and never see that kind of thing, once in a while when the slough temp gets high I see a few but nothing like that.

This spot is actually a ditch that connects to Bear Creek and you can damn near jump over the thing. It runs under Whistler Drive and the picture is right next to John Muir Elementary School.
A 100 years ago or more those fish would have gone up Bear Creek and spawned.
