ponds around Fairfield

Hello All,

I was going to a meeting in Napa, but staying around Fairfield near the Highway 80 and 12 junction. Saw a few ponds on the maps, like Green Valley Lake Park (just north of this intersection). I was looking for a pond or two to fish, either from shore or from a float tube.

Anyone familiar with a pond in this area? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My step sister and her husband have a house on that lake. Mostly a duck pond. No bass (yet). Some sunfish snuck in by residents.

There are a couple of ponds in Rockville Park, just up the road from where you are staying. You can go back down hiway 12 a few miles to Suisun and fish from the waterfront there. I here a few crappie are hitting there, but it's mostly striper fishing. If you travel out to Grizzly Island there are several ponds out there with bass and crappie.
