A day on Lake Mission Viejo is in the books..........

Post by Pete Marino »

and what a great day it was. Brian Day invited Carissa and I out for a day of sight fishing at Lake Mission Viejo today and ALL three of us WHACKED them. We caught a total of about 40 fish or so. Alot of 1 1/2- 3 lb. fish, about five or six 3 lb.-3 3/4 lb. fish and Carissa got the two biggest of the day. Her previous biggest bass was 5 1/2 lbs but today she caught a 6 lber and a toad 9+ lb. fish. It weighed just under 10 lbs.. VERY NICE!!! Before we got to the lake this morning I promised Carissa that if we came accross a big fish, she could have it. Well I let her have two because I wanted to see her get her personal best and she did. All the fish came sight fishing. Our best five fish would have went about 26 1/2 - 28 lbs. It was a great day on the water. Thanks Brian for the chance to get out there and whack some good ones. The pleasure was all mine

I'm glad we got on some decent fish. As you can tell those fish get pounded, so its a bonus to find an aggressive big female fish relatively shallow. Carissa, congrats on your new personal best!

Enjoy the pictures.

That dude is out of hand!!! I was about to tell him to F#@% himself but Brian asked me not to say anything. Anyone that knows me knows that I dont put up with people like that. He was looking for a problem and he found it, luckily for him Brian was in the boat or he would have gotten his old, streriod using, little d%#@ having *** beat on 3/12 about 1:30pm. I thought I was on candid camera because this guy was such an a**hole. I was definetly tested. Carissa couldnt believe I acted as calm as I did. She applauded Brian for keeping me in the boat. Enough about him..I'M GETTING WORKED UP!! The fishing day and boat company was awesome though. Oh yeah, I also saw a school of about 8-10 trout that were at least 7-9lbs each. They looked like frickin steelhead. That was cool too.Pete Marino

not sure if it's the same roids guy I've had some "incedents" with, but I think I know who you are talking about- fricking nightmare on LMV- just wondering if this was a guy who lives a few houses past Sizzler Cove and can't paddle his yak enough?? Nice work on some quality fish, congrats on a great day-

I'm sure its the same guy. Yes its a few houses from sizzler cove. The house had rock on the walls instead of stucco or wood. I'm sure there cant be two people like him on the lake. He was a one of a kind. A$$HOLE!!! Pete Marino

yeah, classic- same guy- I accidently landed a Sammy on his dock one night when he seemed to be a bit tipsey- That guy is a world class circus animal- He was dropping F-bombs all over the place and asking why we didn't respect him, the whole time holding the Sammy in his hand, it was hard not to just rear back and set the hook and let him know how much I respect idiots- pretty funny but disturbing at the same time- the worst part is that I accidently left a trout that jumped on a Deep Little N later that night under his Yak on the dock, my bad-
