Western Anglers..you have asked for it...and now it's here!

Post by AnglersPress »

Western anglers....

For those of you that love to fish Clearlake in the spring, AND have always wanted to compete for BIG money without having to commit the time and money to a tournament trail..... your chance has finally arrived.

The 2007 America's Vanity Cup, presented by Cheetah Energy Drink, is set to for Clearlake March 10-11th at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa and brings with it the richest payout in TEAM bass fishing history!

Over $225,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to a limited field of 200 boats and will give some western team the opportunity to take home a CASH prize of $100,000! And second place won’t be too bad either, as the runners up will receive a 2007 Chrysler 300 courtesy of People’s Folsom Lake Chrysler/Jeep/Hyundai dealership in the Folsom automall, followed by a “Cast & Blastâ€

This is a Great Opportunity for Clearlake and the rest of California.
The Misty's might even come out of their deep sleep hibernation for this big event.

True that Seig....

We are hoping that the many anglers who can't get the time off or don't have the money to commit to the national events will want the opportunity to fish this phenominal event. No membership is required, and you can fish with anyone you want to, on Clearlake in the early spring - for $100,000 dollars.

For those of you that may not know, we did everything in our power to schedule this event on a weekend that would not conflict or be close to the FLW event - but BELIEVE me - it could not be avoided. Moreover, had it not been scheduled when it was, it would have been moved to another lake, in another state, which would have truly been a missed opportunity for western anglers who support this sport perhaps more than any region in the nation.

It is important that we try to support this event, in that a successful event will entice the sponsors to want to come back again next year - when we will be able to schedule it when nothing major is going on.

Actually, if big sticks like you, Gary D, Dave Rush, Ish, and the Reese boys can't make it....it gives others guys a better chance at winning a grip of money!

Hope to see everyone there!

Would appreciate a reply to my PM regarding the website:

http://www.anglerspress.net/

It has many broken links and mis-directed links. Who knows how long it's been like this.

Hey Redlfesavers..... since you chose to use a Yahoo email account, which can be gotten pretty easily, to set up your Westernbass.com account, why don't you just tell us who you are.

Your bashing of the FPT has gone a little above the norm.

I have personally emailed Vince and told him about the problems I saw. Hell, I am a webmaster, if I see a problem I try to correct it.

Vince and I have differed in opinion on things in the past but this time I am leaning towards AP on this whole website issue that you seem to be pushing as your personal vendetta.

Wait a minute, do you do websites? If you do, let me know, send me your resume and I will see if there is any work I can use you for. Oh, wait, you can't send me a resume, then I would know who you are. Oh well, it was a good idea to try and help you out but.....

I will finish this post by saying. I do not work for Angler's Press. I have never been paid a dime by Angler's Press. If Angler's Press does something to piss me off I will tell you. Yes, they are a website sponsor but I don't own the site, I work for the owner. It's pretty simple.

What else is pretty simple is I am getting tired of all the negativity in general. Maybe I need to put a flower on my avatar, instead of the thead nazi. Maybe that would calm everyone down. Whatever needs to be done, it needs to be taken care of. I am going to start getting a little more heavy handed in my post monitoring until all of this negative crap can go away.

Hey Gator -
Let me know and I can sniff them out. If you really want to know bad enough I can find them... it takes quite a bit of time but, it can be done - ask TopH20. :)

I can also show you how to do it sometime. But it takes a "sniffer" and some IP addresses.

I'm not bashing. I came here looking for info on Vanity Cup, found your boards via a few google searches.

I went to their website for more info, only to find that of the five pages on the site, "clients" looped back to the home page and "contact" didn't work at all. I sent a PM to opsveh1. After a few days the PM was read but I did not receive a reply and nothing had changed. The next day I posted here in hopes of getting a reply. Only NOW several days later is the broken link fixed, however "Home" "About" and "Clients" all link to the main page.

Yes I do websites. No I haven't completed my profile here yet. After the reception I've received here in regards to my providing links to requested information, I won't be sticking around and I sure as heck don't feel like giving out my phone number so I can get harassed by phone calls instead of posts.

If an organization is going to push a major event like this, and advertise links to a website, the least they can do is make sure that their website is working properly. I stand by my comment that it is less than professional, and am insulted that it is considered "bashing" given that a lot of the other stuff here "ie Mr. Flop" and the "bashing" that I received that I feel was unjustified.

As I've stated in my other posts, my input and help is not wanted here, so I'll no longer be providing it.

Tight lines all, and I hope someday you'll let new people feel a bit more welcome so that they are comfortable enough here to finish a profile.

Redlifesavers,

Have you tried the site that Vince posted above yours? That site, www.americasvanitycup.com seems to have all the info you're looking for.

Even the AP site, if you click on the "Contacts" on top, will get you to a contact page. It does have a few links that loop back and not seem to be fully debugged. But the www.americasvanitycup.com seems to work fine.
