Clear Lake

Post by scaldwell »

We are planning a trip to Clear Lake the first part of April. Last year we went around the 15th and the fishing was pretty slow. Are we coming to early?????? Thanks

Nope. Too early was last week's bite.

You might want to check with one of the local tackle shops when you're up to see what the bite is. They're always glad to help, if you're buyin somethin.

Also, check on catfished.com or clearlakebassmasters.net for local info.

Read the CL reports on here, too!

Well its sounds like we will be there about the same time. We were planning on being there March 31st thru April 6th. We will be coming from Idaho. Also, any tips on where to stay that will allow a small pet?

Sounds like you are going to be there the same time the Bassmasters Elite is there. Good Luck.

Never to early in the spring at CL. Last year was just a phenominal bite from early sprint to the start of winter. You should have the full gamit of pre-spawn, spawn and post spawning fish. Pick your favorite style of fishing and you should do alright.

Just remember to pack your swimbaits.

good luck to you
