Need help for Grandpa!!

Post by Dan Sexton »

My boys call him "Papa-Boat",

My Father-in_law is the 1st person I fished a Tournament with in summer of 1986, Ambassadors all Night "Miller" tournament.

A few years ago he was seriously injured and is now disabled from a Construction accident. He can still fish and goes once a week, which is very healthy for him.

His Electric motor broke a few years back and I found him a used 55lb thrust Motor guide for his 18' Ranger.

This has finally bit the dust and he really needs an electric motor (foot controled) in the $200 to $300 range. He has a mount for Motor Guide, but would need a mount included if it were a Minn Kota.

Why am I not posting in the Classifieds? Because I believe some of you could be holding onto motors "just in case" you may need them (I hope).

I would give him my spare but a 109/ 36volt would be overpowering for his boat.

Does anyone have a good spare 24 volt motor/55lb+ they would like to sale? Maybe someone upgraded to a bigger motor?

If not it is worth a try.

Thanks,
Dan

Whats up Dan!

The last time I was in Dave's Bass Shack, there was a T motor for sale in the corner for $175.00, it was a Motoruide 67 I think. Maybe call Dave's and see if it's still there!

Good luck!

Dan,
I have a decent Motorguide brute 767, its used but in good shape, you can have for the gas it costs to pick it up from either Oakley or Livermore.

If anyone is seeking a hand operated bowmount motor/mount I have one for free as well. Would love to see it go to someone that really needs/wishes to have a motor. It is a 24v 55# Saltwater series.

All it needs is a male plug, a prop and a new owner to install it.

I reside in Oakley as well. -Just PM me if interested.
