26P Tempest

I am running a 26P Tempest Prop on a Mercury 175 Optimax pushing a Basscat do you think I am getting the most out of motor or is there better props thanks guys

Need more info, H2o p.s.i., jackplate, R.P.M. speed(gps) shape of the prop. and so on.

What Billy said. If you do a Google for "outboard propellers" you should find some sites with "prop finders" that might help you in your search. Just keep in mind there are a lot of factors that will affect performance than just the prop.

That sounds like a little bit much of a prop for the 175 but it depends on RPM. That motor will hit the rev limiter at 5750. Most of my buddies that run or have run that boat actually ran a 24 Trophy (4 blade) but it sucked in the weeds with the small hub.

Best bet and most effective is either Phil's or Tru Pitch. They will help you out with selection.

You may need some work.

I had Phills prop put extra cup in my prop. This will drop RPM and it sure helped me hook those river bends! Call the pros.
