Now Mike lets not forget, you can share your water on Day One but not 2 or 3. If you share with your day One Pro, talking on day 2 or 3 would be wrong.......and could hurt day one and be preceived as sharing day ones water.....

Mike that is right as soon as day 1 fishes an area if you talk to day 2 or 3 you have broken the rules by talking about where day 1 fished, once he fishes it it is now a location he has been, to take another pro there is a clear rule violation. If day 1 protests because he sees you there he is right weather you found the water or not. Dose it mean you will get cought, NO but it is still not right. Also you are an AM helping the Pro in a non shared event, is wrong he should find fish not the AM....At least that is the way I see it, All the Pros put up 3K+ it is there job to locate fish not some local AM.... That includes me as well as you

Tough call, I guess it is a judgement call for (10,000-100,000) you have to decide, that is alot of money. If you are fishing on the Pro side, would you want another Pro drawing your AM twin.....?? and telling him that is the PRO, who really did not need any prefishing, where to get fish and beat you.....Just food for thought. I feel if day 1 needs water fine but that water is offlimits on day 2 and 3, the rule states you can not talk about what day 1 did Period........

Now You may have 3 days worth of good water.

See you on the water

nobody says mike has to talk to his day 2 or day 3 about what day 1 did, he can take his partners to his water, not like mike is going to be saying they were bitting a 4" boom boom tube, he will use that info for his benifit while fishing from the back of the boat on his water.

You may be reading the rules incorrectly. The rule is intended so that the non-boater does not return to the pro's water. However, if the non-boater takes the pro to a location, then the location belongs to the co-angler and not the pro.

In either case communication is the best policy.

The correct answer is always the one you want to hear........Talking about day 1 or 2 is a rule violation period. How a CO treats it is up to them. I have fish tour. on the delta for ten+ years, I guess it is all my water....LOL......

Hell I have read it here I should just be happy to set in the back and learn from the PRO... I am sure that is what I read right here. Or is that only apply when it sounds good to a Pro to write it..... I have also read here that some PRO don't need pre fish time on the water.....is that because they want advice from the CO.....This is only a question...But I did read it here...........

I think that he has received some good advice-Ask the TD and communicate with your partner.

If you draw me you won't have to worry because I will live and die on my own stuff.

If you take a Pro(boater) to something and you don't want him to return then tell them. This is exactly why I don't fish other people's spots.

I hate to say it but my prediction is that it will be sapp, reese, and possibly stafford or thompson (if hes in it) in the top. On coangler side I will go with desmangles. He is always there in the , money. But who knows, maybe Roland or Barrack or Lee on the pro side.

In a pro-am yes! In a National Guard no! (most) CO's dont pay $700 to go out and "learn" something. NG CO's are seasond anglers who choose not to/cant afford to fish on the Pro side.

Mike, I can't imagine any pro who had to ask you to take him to a spot on days 1 or 2 could possibly think that would become the pro's exclusive spot later in the tournament. I don't think you could expect the first pro not to return if you guys caught fish there, but none of the guys I have fished with out here would expect you to stay off your spot for the rest of the tournament.

I can tell you, I have heard more BS from COs about how great a bite they are on and all sorts of stories about hot spots that just don't end up panning out. I will listen though and try to assess the COs credibility, especially if I'm not familiar with the water. I don't know Mike, but he sounds like the kind of guy I would like to draw for the last day. I have not spent a ton of time at the Delta and I might only have enough water for one or two days. If I'm sucking wind on day 3 and have a local in the boat who has spent a lot of time on the water, I'm certainly not above asking if there is something he would like to try. This is even more true if he is in the hunt and I'm not.

Good Luck! See you all next week.
