HELP WITH BATTERY CHARGER

Post by skeeter200tzx2005 »

I HAVE A 2005 SKEETER. BOAT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR 3 1/2 MONTHS. I HAVE NO POWER TO ANYTHING WHEN I PLUGGED THE BOAT CHARGER IN (FOUR BANK PRO SE SPORTMANS EDITION) THREE OF THE BANKS HAVE ONE BLINKING RED LIGHT. I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS BECAUSE THE BATTERIES WERE COMPLETELY DEAD OR SOMETHING ELSE? THANKS IN ADVANCE CHRIS

Sounds like dead batteries ... check the water level of the batteries. If you're low and the batteries have been sitting in that condition fo r3.5 months. Go to Walmart and get yourself a set of the EverStart (yellow type) and charge it overnight.

I've been having some battery probs of my own past few months. If you don't have a battery tester, I reccomend getting one. 3 months is a long time. Check that each terminal connection is clean. In fact, clean them and lube em. Check all fuses in the battery (trolling motor) series to make sure they aren't toast. I would try to charge them after you've done these things and test em. Dude 3 months without your boat? I'd be peeling the paint off my walls.c

Skeeter,
Not sure if this will help, but you can get the manual online at this location: http://www.dualpro.com/manual/universal_manual.pdf

It says that if you have 1 red LED blinkig, you likely have wires connected to wrong polarity. check to be sure you have the positves connected to red wires and negatives to the black wires.

Otherwise, you need to call them for assistance.

Good Luck,
