I would like to commend, my buddy and fellow Pro Staffer, Ken Mah on his great finish (8th) at the National Guard event held at the Delta. Awesome finish Ken and your buying dinner !! I would also like to give congrats to the rest of the field and thank them for a strong showing in the west !

No doubt, great Job Ken, couldn't happen to a better guy. Good work.... I know you went for the win today and it cost you a few spots, but you had one heck of a tournament and 8th place is fantastic with a field like this one!!

Also congrats to all the other top 10 anglers and Mike Rooke for winning ---- way to go Mike.

I sat next to Ken stuffed in the Tules at Russo's waiting for the marathon weigh-in on day one. The guy is very entertaining. One thing I did notice is he still spent is time wisely prepping his tackle for the next day. He seems the true definition of a professional. Happy to see the "good guys" achieve success. Congratulations Ken!!!

WOW, Thanks for all of your kind words

Post by Ken Mah »

Thank you to everyone who called, e-mailed and just plain pulled for me. I knew that I needed to catch at least 22 pounds on the final day to win and I never deviated from that plan. I thought about fishing for 2nd around 1100 am yesterday, but I did not allow my self to do it. I left the fish biting in an area that I thought I could only get 15-17 pounds. I have no regrets.

Respectfully

Ummm, How about some details about Day 3... I heard some rumors about a bit of a scuffle between Mah and Barrack, and the echoes in the air of "SPOT STEALING MF!!!". What's the story???

There is not a story to be told. What happens on the river, in the heat of battle, stays on the River. Only ugliness and tarnished reputations come out of rumors and stories of this nature. Whether it happened or not, does not take away from the accomplishments of these two anglers during this event. These two guys don't owe the readers of this Forum SQUAT, much less the details of any on the water confrontation.

Let it go! I will lock this thread and delete any further conversations in regards to this issue. This is a thread hijack, of the worst kind!

Great showing Ken! I was hoping to see you hold up that $100K check....that's ok. What a great accomplishment in just finishing in the top 10.

Ken,

You did a great job and got into a situation everyone dreams about. Next time you will put it away.

Way to go.
