How come I never got an apology? You took pot shots at my rods. I really am not surprised at your identity. You have pulled lots of sneaky things, but you got caught this time. Remember Western Bass?????
First of all, I have always made it steadfast rule of only using this forum for information - not conversation. It is by far the best and most cost-effective way to get a message out to the vast majority of the western angling public.
That being said that, the time has come for you all to know who has been behind the many, many negative and slanderous postings on this forum regarding such things as the FPT’s misleading of people, the Vanity Cup event being a disaster, and improper money handling during the FPT’s Central Valley region. All of which, are unfair, untrue, and have been posted under the guise of “totiredâ€
Vince has always been very reachable, I have called his cell phone and he has answered anytime. Questions, comments, and explanations of rules have all been answered and clarified.
Payback is known going in, so why fish something if you will be dissapointed with your winnings.
.... am glad to see this guy exposed ... thanks Gary d. and Vince .. now maybe we can concentrate on some positive input ... like using a Dobyns rod in the Future Pro event at shasta ...
( chit-eatin grin )
Wow that blows me away, who would have thought that korny was the one. and I thought his open letter was for something else.
I guess he was right we wont be hearing from him anymore.
Ray Vanacore
What comes around goes around, he asked for it, he got caught, he needs to be exposed!
Rather than " Dear John " letter, I think Korny should have come out and apologized here publicly and taken full responsibility for his actions ( Sorry but half @ss apologies with no explanation don't count )
I may not agree with Vince and his crew on a few subjects and issues, but I take my hat off to you for exposing the person responsible for this!
Goes to show you that the grass is'nt always greener on the other side guys!
Opinions are one thing Brian, re read the posts that "ToTired" Korny made towards Vince, they were blatant attacks directed at Vince and his Organization, not opinions!

Ok I see your point, but he did apologize.
Quote from Korny's post:
to Vince Harris. all you have done is take a good idea and turn it into a great idea. for this you have had to watch people on this board (myself included) talk about short comings. There are none.
You run a very good organization and should be commended for what you have brought to bass fishing. I for one am truly sorry for the things I have said and and hope you continue to build the best thing possible for amatuer bass fisherman.
Now we all know why Korny posted his ' Open Letter " the other day, it was his " Easy Escape " from the humiliation that he caused himself.
A half @ss apology doesn't cut it here Brian, yeah he did say sorry to Vince and others, but it has to be sincere, and I'm not convinced it was sincere. He never admitted to hiding behind a fake name, therefore it's not good enough for me! He should have taken responsibility for his actions and he didn't!
Like I said earlier, his "Dear john" letter was just an easy way to run and hide from the mess he made and the people he pissed off!
Maybe some computer thug dummied up that email to make it look like Kornhauser. But, Korny's "Open Letter" certainly support this accusation. Ultimately, it's the fishing community that suffers when this kind of crap happens.
Vince, you've done a good job bringing new blood into tournament bass fishing. That seems to be what you do best. Keep it up and thank you.
Bob did openly question Anglers Choice and others about payback percentages under his own name. Those attacks were also on the forum and resulted in questions back at him about his own payback.
Questions were in the form of an accusation from Bob most of the time.
It raised questions in my mind about 100%.
1. Whats up with the $5 insurance for each event? No one else charges it!
2. Membership fee gets nothing in return.
3. How does Bob account to the angler for the option money? Pure cash deal with no accounting to support the claimed 100% payback.
4. He accused all the others of cheating- all of them! Does it take one to know one?

Wow, that explains the open letter. Although not all that suprising. Unfortunately this is the kind of thing that is bad for the sport. Organizers should work together not against each other.
Okay, before the piling on gets rolling here I want to address this issue. First and foremost to my mind is that Bob Kornhauser is my friend. It's not that we've always seen eye to eye because quite frankly I haven't ever seen eye to eye with anyone on all points my entire life. But we have had each other's back numerous times and I expect that'll never change. Both of us have made mistakes that we've later looked upon with regret. I know of no one honest with themselves that can say they haven't done so. Sometimes the competitive nature in us brings about thoughts, acts and words that down the road we'd wish we could erase or take back.
Specifically to this thread topic, I talked with Korny after he made his last post. He was very contrite about what he had done on this forum and he was sincere in his apologies not only to Vince but to western bass anglers and to anyone else that read his post. He told me that he hoped to be a positive influence for all of bass fishing down the road and that he realized that he was just buried in negativity for too long. It wasn't healthy for him or anyone else. What more the man can do I'm not sure but I know he has taken a large first step.
One can either beat the man down or they can acknowledge that an apology has been given and move on. Korny is going to move on. There may be some fallout from what's transpired and he's certainly man enough to step up and take the heat and keep moving forward. I for one was not happy when I learned what he'd done in the forum and Bob knows that very well. I am also not going to let that change the fact that he is and will continue to be a friend.

Wow, the North not only now has the best Lake, but the best DRAMA. This deal is crazy. Rick G.

I'm shocked at all of this. Wow!!!! Is this 100% true? Wheres Korney at? I think its time to come in and speak up. With no explanation from him it sure makes him look guilty. If this is true then it is totally unprofessional. I hope its not, but Dang!!!!
Korny beat ya to the punch by already addressing this with an open letter of apology. My understanding is that after doing so he also contacted Vince and talked with him and again apologized.
If you'd like to read that apology, here's the thread:
Here are some facts. He hid behind a fake name and took shots at people and products. He was the one beating the drum about cheaters and lie detectors always giving our sport a black eye. He personally refused to take a lie detector test at Clear Lake for rigging draws. Somewhere around 50 am's reqested it though Criag Miller. Korny refused. I know why..... He has always acted like the staight up holy guy while he snuck around behind our backs as "totired" and no telling who else. He was the main reason we lost one of our best trails ever, Western Bass. It was though a back biting letter that was sent to Evinrude thus costing Western Bass their new sponsor. No motor sponsor and Ranger will not sponsor the organization. End of Western Bass. I hate people that sneak around and bite you in the back. At least he has company.
What a shame for the sport that a person of that caliber, running a well respected organization would stoop to such low levels. It's not about kicking a man while he's down or beating a dead horse at this point. It's really about taking resposibility for your own actions. Unwarranted personal and professional attacks aimed at ruining a man's career and everything he's worked for is flat out unethical. I've got a feeling a simple apology won't work this time, as it shouldn't. Korny is an adult and should be held fully responsible for his actions.
Since I first read this forum I have always noticed people bashing eachother. So immature it seems. I thought this place would be fun not lame. You know getting to know other anglers, techniques, places, friends, and fishing stories. Seems like mostly bulls**t lately. And everyone defending this Korny guy...he was/is almost on the edge of liable. No matter if there was a lame "I'm Sorry" or not.

Thanks to sTony and Westernbass for allowing this...discussion...to appear. I know it took some fortitude to sit back and let it fly.
I think when something like this happens our true charactor is exposed. We fishermen sometimes tend to overreact and tear down our sport in front of each other.
I don't mean to dimish what happened...just hoping this can be viewed in a constructive way, instead of the usual destructive, pointless carping that we have all seen...
For the record, I don't fish any circut and have no ties to any of the involved parties...

If you always do what you did, you will always get what you got!
I have never had a personal an issue with Bob or 100% Bass.
You were right in your other post, sometimes we (people) disagree and make mistake. This is something that i hope we can all learn from. I am sure there will be folks that won't forgive and that is just the way life goes. But others will and if Korny does what he says, time will heal it.
Tony, I've been busy with work and have not spend as much time here. But even with some politics, it's a great place. So don't let any of this get you down.

WOW! The Vultures and the Buttkissers are out now. Have you ever had a 6-pack of "Smart Juice" and said something on here that you might regret later. It Happens.
It might be lonely at the Top, but it's a bitch, at the Bottom !
This goes beyond 1 or 2 comments that you would regret. These are diliberate attacks that have been going on for a long time. Vultures? How about ruining somebody's career? How would you feel if somebody discredited and bashed you and your business?
...but I feel that I have to respond to your posts in this thread (and it has nothing to do with piling on).
I can certainly understand and appreciate your support of your friend in this matter, because that's what friends do. But to say what more can the man do is a bit much for me.
In my line of work and almost on a daily basis, I hear arrested suspects say that they are sorry for what they have done, but the truth of the matter is that they are sorry that they got caught. Many, if not all of them, would have continued down the same path, had they not been caught. Unfortunately, I believe that this is what would have occurred in this situation, as well. Granted this is only my opinion, but I base it on many years of experience.
Although usually outspoken (to a fault), I have always purposely stayed out of discussions on this forum dealing with competitor tournament organization of the one that I am associated with. The reason for this is obvious - I did not want to come across as bashing the competition; yet this is exactly what "totired" has done.
This is a very unfortunate situation, but we make our own beds.
I sincerely appreciate the fact that you and Gator have allow this very emotional thread to stand. While some may view it as non-fishing related, it actually is very much so, as it will affect some of our future fishing choices. It also is proof that we, as a community, can and will continue to police ourselves, just as we do in our tournaments. This is essential to the success of our sport. Thanks again for all that you do sTony.
let it stay on the board. Let it go and go under one post, so when it's gone, we won't have to hear about it anymore!LOL! Because you know and I've done it myself , someone will bring it back up or start a new post.
Just let it go on and on, till we get it all out of our system!
In some ways, this is a good lesson to all of us, when you feel like striking out, step back and remember, you will never regret taking the "high road" and you will always be respected for playing it straight...
last night this thread was removed for awhile for further review .. i am glad it was put back in the forum ...
initially , i was surprised to see that "totired"s posts weren't deleted , as i found them to be highly inflamatory and no way informative , helpful , or constructive ... just purely malicious ..
and sTony , i realize that you support your friend .. thats what good friends do .. HOWEVER , i have known "totired" from over 20 yrs ago ... he was devious then and and certainly devious now ..
i don't want to be on the "bash wagon " but this individual created alot of grief with his inflamatory accusations .. and it was compounded by being a "sneak" while doing it ..
forgive and forget ?? ... i can forgive , but i also know that if you paint a skunk a different color .. you still have a skunk .. so it might be best not to forget ...
and as this thread dies a natural death , i want to thank sTony for allowing it to be put back in the forum as this issue needed to be addressed ..
thanks ........... john gann
I cannot think of anything that justifies this type of behavior. Yes, people do make mistakes but they still must live with the consequences of their actions forever. Totired should hope and pray that this is all he has to deal with as a result of his misguided actions.
Jeesh....it's just about the fishing isn't it....damn.
What does this kinda thing make the anglers like myself that fish his tourneys think? I just stated on another thread the other day that the only reason I don't fish the FPT was cause all the negative feedback it gets. Nothing personal toward Vince, or his cuircut just with so much negativity I choose to stay away, and fish 100%. And now I hear this. WOW!!!!!! I'm not bashing on Korny or anything like that, but this sure makes me think of my tourney situation in a whole different way.
What is this going to do to Korny's events I fish both the FPT and WRL but now with HARD COLD facts the WRL looks scandalous is anybody else in this boat SHOULD I FISH A event that now will have a black cloud over its Owner decisions, decisions
I thought I would fish for a good year in my new/used boat before fishing any tourney's. But after seeing a bunch of threads on this site I'm starting to have second thoughts. Seems like a whole lot of drama!
biteme wrote:I thought I would fish for a good year in my new/used boat before fishing any tourney's. But after seeing a bunch of threads on this site I'm starting to have second thoughts. Seems like a whole lot of drama!
Biteme, there is drama in everything. Don't let these threads make you not wanna fish tourneys, just choose the right one that works for you. I'm sure you would have a blast doing it.
I don't know many guys that fish a tournament because they like the organizations tournament director or the organizations owner. You guys fish for the (money). and as long as 100% pays back (the money), I'm sure you will all continue to fish the circuit. It is a sad thing that this all has to be aired on here. I know personally and have had issues with the person but called him direct on it by phone and resolved it. Seems to me you all could do the same. I mean come-on. Whats wrong is wrong, so lets try and put some positive energy to this all and get it behind us................
sorry I sound like a old man preacher, yet, is that so bad. I took my fathers advise and ppractice what I preach; yet I failed and I don't seem to mind my own business...(LOL) sorry....
Jigs, I didn't say I didn't wanna fish it. He runs a great show, and I have always said that. But these kinda things make you wonder if there is anything else going on. I bet not, but it just makes you think when you see things like this. Its a shame, and who knows maybe this will be my last year fishing 100%. I got some thinking to do.
This is a big deal, the director is alot of it in who you fish. Lord knows I stopped fishing WON Delta when that other guy, before Gene was there. No need for names. my partner and I are just starting to fish team events again after a 2 year lay off. This will make me think before I fish 100%.
Tom
WON gets my support ONLY because of Gene at the Hook. It really does matter

G-Man,
I heard negativity also about FPT before deciding fishing it. This situation deffinately makes you wonder where all the Negativity originated from...
