All I ask as a tournament fisherman, is for an honest T.D. and fair payback! This is a very disapointing situation for me, as I have been spending alot of my hard earned money supporting all the tournament orgs. Hearing this kind of cr@p just stinks when you think what else could be goin on.

I've been seriously thinking about fishing a few Org. team tournaments outside of my club tournaments if I can fit them into my family and work schedule.

I've heard a lot of good things about how well the 100% tournaments are run and, truthfully, I don't think this info changes that or pulls 100% out of consideration for me.

This whole thing is unfortunate and really shows some serious bad judgement, but remember...let he who is without sin cast the..............

Just wanted to put this out there.......before you all make decisions to continue to support, or not support Korny and 100% because of all that has transpired (and no, I do not fish either circuit, so no allegiance one way or another) that yes, he has now been exposed, but is he the only one to have done something such as this????

I can safely say that he is not the first and not likely the last to do exactly this. I've caught many folks, including some that have popped up in this thread, of the very same thing.

As far a moderation goes, well I don't want to go off on a rant but we can't be here 24/7 to clean up the public mess and when we have in the past we've gotten our heads handed to us for our efforts. This thread was taken down last night and put back up because we could no longer put ourselves at risk and also because it sends a clear message what we feel about anonymous postings.

I'd also add that it's not just this forum but just about every forum out there. Being a moderator is a thankless job and I've seen may forums lose all control and I've seen others get over moderated to the point of extinction.

Nozmo King, i don't know you, and I have no issues with you. But you stated people should not be waisting time ripping people on this forum. Then you say things like Tough sh@t get a life, and calling people schmucks on this forum. Is that not the same thing?

For the record I did not bash Korny on this site. I just simply stated how I was shocked, and had to think of my situation in tourney fishing. Just opinions that I have a right to.

sTony you do a great job on this site. I know in the past I might have said things on here that do not belong, But I choose to use the lounge for that now. If I say something offensive, and it gets zapped, oh well thats my bad. I'm really glad that you let this thread stay up here. That must of taken alot to do that since Korny is your friend. I have nothing against Korny, but I'm just still shocked about the whole thing. Again, great website thanks.

This thread is valuable because it contains important lessons about integrity in business. Ultimately, fishermen must be able to trust the organizations in which they choose to compete. Same thing goes for boat companies, electronics manufacturers, rod comanies....everything ultimately comes back to trust. A boat or motor warranty is only as good as the integrity of the company backing up the promise. Even the warranty on a fishing pole depends on the character of the company backing up the promises. For example, every Kistler Rod I've heard about being broken was quickly replaced or repaired with better-than-expected service. Bass Cat Boats won the JD Powers Award for Customer Service the same way. This is one of the reasons Dobyns accepted a partnership with Lamiglas...its all about keeping promises.

So, while I found the theme of this thread very troubling and disappointing, I applaud Tony's decision to let it run. The lesson is too valuable to ignore.

No, G-man, I wasn't knocking Tony. If it came off that way, my bad. I was saying that some of the posters on this forum need to get a life, not Tony. Tony does a great job. I was trying to say that if Tony or the other moderators delete posts & those who got their posts deleted are upset, then tough crap.

And, yes, you're right, it is hypocritical for me to criticize people for being so critical, but - I still think some of them are schmucks who need to get a life.

Dang!!!! I leave for half a day to have ankle surgery and this place blows up...Maybe it's the drugs speaking, but Korny made his apologies and everyone has vented..So can we let this tread die a quick death... I don't think we have any right to judge him...we all make mistakes..he did the right thing about it...it will not be any measure to me as to whether I fish his circuit in the future... There have been many TD's out there who have done the same things or worse.. It's what he does in the future that counts...the past is done..

I think many of you are missing the point here. Although fishing is a hobby and weekend activity for most of us, there are those out there including Vince who have made a career out of this. Publicly bashing Vince and discrediting his organization is taking food off of his table. How does an indirect apology clear Korny of this and justify his actions? The amount of effort he spent bashing Vince and FPT proved to be nothing less than an unethical business strategy. To make matters worse, bass fishing is a very specialized niche. It's not like Vince has the ability to sell his product to a different market if this one fails. This website proves to all of us how specialized this sport is. EVERY bass fisherman on the West Coast visit's this site because it is the only one of it's kind. There is no other option. Get my point?? So for those of you out there who feel that this has gone too far since Korny has already "apologized", too bad! Otherwise maybe you should go into work tomorrow and accuse your co-workers of lying , cheating, and stealing. And if you get caught, just say you're sorry. That should make everything better right?

I'm not able to find the part in this apology where Bob admits he was the unknown "Totired" person who took cheap shots at Vince and also tried to screw the FPT by posting lies about Vince and his organization, where's the apology for that? Yeah, he apologized, but he left some important information out.....

to Vince Harris. all you have done is take a good idea and turn it into a great idea. for this you have had to watch people on this board (myself included) talk about short comings. There are none.
You run a very good organization and should be commended for what you have brought to bass fishing. I for one am truly sorry for the things I have said and and hope you continue to build the best thing possible for amatuer bass fisherman.

To Tom Leogrande. We have had words in the past and I regret some of the things we have said to one another. You run a very classy magazine and work hard to give bass fisherman a lot of quality.

Bob should have stepped up and taken FULL responsibility for everything he posted here, in my opinion he didn't!

Like I told someone earlier today, Bob's followers will continue to support his Organization regardless of what has happened. It will all be pretty much forgotten in a week or so, but until then, he's getting what he deserves! He better hope that Vince doesn't go after him for slander.

Dude, bass fishing is way bigger then this site. There are other sites around also. This site has been most popular. Yet I would venture to say that less then half of the tourney fisherman read this site. Maybe more did in the past, but many left because of this kind of stuff. This kind of stuff is bad, and the bashing is not only done by Korny, but TD's should not be posting here due to its nature of bashing. They all have their own sites and questions should be directed there.

There are legal channels that can be followed or they can meet behind a barn and settle things the old fashioned way. No matter how they choose to get closure, at this point, it only hurts this website and the sport of bass fishing to keep beating this very dead horse. Let them tend to their OWN business!

As far as impact on 100% Bass, or Future Pro Tour for that matter, anyone who reads this entire thread will have plenty of information and opinions expressed to help them make decisions. No additional BS will change a thing. Let it die for the sake of this site. PLEEEASE!

As someone fairly new to the site and Bass fishing , this is the first and the last place I go to because I consider it THE BEST , Tony may own it , but I consider it ours and I hope everyone else does too , with that said my feeling of ownership is the highest compliment I can think of to Tony and the crew !

After reading most of the post. The individual made a mistake in his career of organize fishing saying things that he know regrets. He still is running an EXCELLENT curcuit for us fisherman to fish. Im retired from one company after 30 yrs. I know for a fact that atleast once every 1-2 yrs I have regretted saying things or downgrading someone that I wish I hadn't said, we're all human and we're NOT PERFECT. If we were, we'd be upstairs directing traffic.

I'm sure Korny and his Staff will continue his excellence in organize fishing as he has in the past. Sure Im surprised or a little upset as sTony with Korny, but we're all human. Will this stop me from fishing his curcuit? As the younger generation says "NOT"

Tony created or aquired this site and i started visiting it about a year ago.When i first started visiting it I thought it was a great site and still do.I visit this site every day but dont post very often feeling kind of an outsider not being a competitive fisherman.

I see post's in regard's to cheating becouse someone was on plane in a five mile zone and some responses were hey if you dont get a ticket no big deal at least that's how i interprate it.Is it cheating i dont know is it wrong yes you are not following the lake's rule's.That in itself is wrong.

We all hate to be roughed up by the skier's and jetskie's yet let them see this and who look's bad

Dont you ever stop and think about how this may be affecting Tony and all he has to do to keep this site growing.He himself has stated he is suprised some of his moderator's are still sticking it out and have not left.

Personally i am suprised Gary Dobyns made this post.I feel he should have contacted this individuel himself and not made it public.

How do you expect us outsider's to get involved in tournament's when we see this kind of stuff.I cant speak for anyone but myself but i really want to try and fish tournament's.I sure as hell dont need the money as arrogant as that may sound but i want to meet new people,share what i know about a lake i fish and know he or she may share there knowledge on there home lake.

Tony has had to create the lounge to keep these kind of post's off the general forum i think that is very sad.Perhap's my veiw's on all this is wrong but god bless America i can.

Well said NaCI......as normal you tend to cut through the crap said and hit the truth, Personally I fish his (Korny) tournament's not because I have any strong feelings to him or his tournaments, it just because his were the first i went to after i quit the club fishing, due to all of the games and crap that was going on there. I asked who had a good tournament here and everyone said 100% Pro-AM.
So here I am 4 yrs later still going. Knowing Korny as I do I am surprised that all this has been going on. but it goes to show you I just fish. If you guys have an opinion of each other (SO WHAT) It's just like the chat lines. you can stand around hidden from each other and take pot-shots.

I say Bob pays entry fee's plus options for all anglers fishing his circuits as well as the FPT. Fish this weekend at Clear Lake. 1 in 5, 100% payback and winner gets his purple boat to auction off after the event. $1000 paid for each fish over 8, make it 7. He will then be forgiven.

Gary can then organize an event to give more than $2,000 in scholarship funds to college students of local bass fishermen, to benefit children of decease local fishermen or give $4K to the charity of his choice other than the Dobyns fund (EACH YEAR) Oh and get along with all future business partners, he will then be forgiven for ratin Korny.

Man I was hoping I could stay out of this, BUT

I saw a post by "Totired" that had korny's name on the bottom.
I went back after a few minutes and it was gone.

I sent a PM to korny that was never opened. I was hoping that maybe he would see it and we would never hear from "totired" again.

Well that didnt happen, So all this stuff about Gary ratten out korny is unfair. I gave him a chance to knock it off and he didn't.

I didn't call Vince because Vince never replied to any of that crap. If I could just get "totired" to go away this site would calm down alittle.

I tried not to draw lines on this site, even though Gary Dobyns doesn't know me and I only fished FPT 1 year (05) I will back up these guys over others. I beleive in what the FPT is doing. It is a learning tour.

I dont wish to argue with anybody but its not like he wasn't given a chance to stop.

I have also read guys on this thread that said because of "totired" they had some questions about the FPT, thats sucks

Some of these posts truely amaze me!!! This is the kind of crap that is wrong with society.....cheat, steel, lie. I have no use for this type of behavior, weather it be in the workplace, or within ny circle of friends. Too often, in my opinion, this type of action or behavior is accepted or even condoned, screw your buddy to get ahead. Personally, if I had to steel and cheat to get ahead, then lie to everyone around to try and stay ahead.....I'ld think about putting a bullet in my pea brain!!! (that's just me though!)
I wouldn't be too quick to shoot the messanger either, the way I see it, he is the only one to stick up for those who were being taken advantage of....if there were more who would call a spade a spade, maybe there would be fewer issues like this to discuss.

It takes alot of action to get me to read a fishing thread these days. Do you have a copy of that letter? My attorney would love to ask the author some questions. For what it is worth, none of the actions described in this thread are surprising to me. Gary, you are a first class honorable man and yes Western Bass could have been something special but that would have taken a long term outlook, honesty and an understanding from all concerned about the real potential. That includes the fisherman as well. We were within 12 months of something big, life goes on and now you are fishing for less and less. I still want to catch spots with you someday. Enjoy Easter, rumor has it, he had a rough day on Friday (Good Friday) as well. I catch all the three pounders I want at the golf in which I belong and my Ranger still floats!!

Were this just a case of opinions being voiced, there would be no reason for all of this. But if these opinions are being voiced with the intent to damage anothers reputation or livelyhood, I would see it as another matter.

Doing this from behind closed doors (under another name) could only be understood as not wanting to be accountable for your actions. This lends a lack of credibility to the man in question. I would say in all matters of his life, since it seems his life is fishing. If he is the owner of the circuit he directs, I would attribute this to being the only reason he wouldn't be fired for his actions.

There hasn't been much to contradict here. most of you say "guilty as charged" and the apology is vague and almost everyone didn't understand the reason for it.

As for professionalism? This would be a perfect example of all the little guys fighting against each other and not growing, while other businesses come in and take their places.

This is very much like signing fake names on a petition.... one person saying the same thing under different names gives the impression of unity among the people when in fact it is just one guy pissed at the world.

Unbelievable is how anyone could turn this Totired counterfeit crap into a poor ole sTony saga.

Why should he have this guy attacked Gary and Vinces Credibility on this forum with an assume name of totired. Not once but numerus times. Did he approach them if he had problems with them or there products ( no), he went behind there backs with an assume name. I have to ask you all a question? How many of you have ever made a mistake you regret? How many of you have apologized for the mistake and all was forgotten/forgiven? Reminds me of a very famous quote "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones".

Was a mistake made? Yes. Was an apology given? Yes (even though it may not fit YOUR idea of an appropriate apology, it was made, and it took a great deal for the man to stand up and admit he had wronged people).

I am by no means condoning the actions that were taken that led up to this point. I think it was wrong and Bob knows that. He admitted he made an error in judgement and he is truly sorry. Yes, he is my friend, as Vince is, as Gary is, as all of you are.

For the sake of all of our sanity, can't we let this thread die a quiet death? I am not standing up for anyone or condemning anyone for the posts on this subject, I just feel that it is time to move on from this and get on with the business at hand, FISHING!!

I also planned to stay out of this, but people keep asking if any of us have ever made a mistake and apologized for it. This is not like Korny just said or did something wrong and later regreted it, he made up a false identy and cohersed people into believing and participating in slandering his competition, not once, but over a period of time. This is called Premeditation, not a mistake, he thought it out, planned it and carried out the charade over and over again for months, and everyone is just supposed to drop it in a couple of days?
Dick Cheney shooting his hunting partner was a mistake, but if he had dressed up like someone else, planned how to get the shot and then get caught while making a gettaway after, his appology would have surely gotten him life in prison.
We have all made mistakes, but the biggest mistake you can make is not requiring higher morals out of the people you call your friends.
