Prop shop

Post by Bill Brown Jr. »

My prop has a few small dings on the leading edge of the blades and I am looking to have it repaired and possibly blueprinted. Does anyone know of a GOOD prop shop in the San Diego area that they would recommend. :?

What does it cost to have a prop blueprinted and balanced? Does anyone know the approximate cost? Is it worth it, big difference?

Go over to "Bass boat central" and contact Mark on the prop forums. His work is second to none, the man is a prop wizard. Extremely fast turnaround time. Just fill out his form complete and send it to him with the prop. You won't be dissapointed.

KO,

It is usually around $150 to get a prop cleaned up and balanced.....the process is very time consuming that is why it cost so much....not really labor intensive, but the machine that polishes it up takes about 6 hours.......we have an awesome guy here in the Vegas area......I know that doesn't help you guys in Cali.....

I am going to take it in to Propellers of San Diego. That is the same guy Angler's Marine uses and he is local. The charge for blueprinting is $200.00.

Thanks for all the input folks. Really appreciate it.
