Spawn at Amador??

Post by Gunzen »

Hey guys, anyone know if the spawn is going on At Amador, still hoping it will be done by end of the month, I am planning a trip in late May, hoping to be back to reg bite. Any news??

Did the weather screw it up?

The spawn is all but over at Amador. It warms quickly and the spawn is usually early.

I was there last Thursday and Friday. I saw them in most of the major coves. Most of the large fish that I saw were in around 10ft. Saw a few spawning, but the majority of the fish I saw were bedding males. Couldn't get any of the big ones to hit.

Thanks guys, so a month from now I can expect a good old fashion early summer pattern? Glad to hear it, I was worried that the weather slowed em down too much. And I have heard post spawn can be a bit tough.
Thanks again for your imput, I will be fishing hensley, and then a tourney at anderson in May, so I will check back for more info. Thanks again guys, kinda hard to get a str8 answer from the Tackle Box cafe.
