bass fishin near portland, oregon

im movin there for about a year from sac. ca n was wonder how the bass fishin was up there....i heard da columbia river was awsome... r there ne other lakes thats are red hot.....im movin up there end of may.... never ben up there so wats up

I never really fished much public water when I lived in Portland. My family was members of the Oregon Fishing Club, which provides access to private property with rivers and lakes on them, i think the website is either www.ofc.com or www.ofc.org

The club has tons of farms ponds 2-15acres with lots of bass, they stock'em with trout and no one else really even fishes for the bass so it is pretty good fishing with a bunch of 4-6lbrs, which are very good fish for up there.

There is some great bass fishing up here. LOTS of it within an hour drive of Portland, Lots even in Portland itself..
