performance help????????
I recentally purchased a 1999 201 pro stratos, with a 225 evinrude.I've tried a 26 pitch raker and it don't seem to hook up.The prop i'm trying now is a 27 pitch renegade and its in kinda rough shape.I'm not getting good lift with either of them.eventually i plan to buy a jacking plate and a new prop.Right now i'm probably only doing about 60 maybe 62.just wondering if anybody out there had a similiar boat with a similiar motor and what kinda of speed are they pulling?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: performance help????????
I have the same boat & motor. Get a 25 tempest first and then a 8 in. plate. That will get in the ballpark of 68+ MPH.
........... Hope that helps ! Kickerken

PHIL' Props !-800-462-3917, Then think " How fast do I really need to GO before I blow my motor ?
it's 8 years old. the old saying is there are only two types of motors " Those That Have Blown and Those That are About To "

Re: performance help????????
Maybee you need to go down in pitch instead of up?? Look in the owners manual and see what top RPM should be, if you are not getting that you may be pitched to high. More RPM equals more top end. Give Phil's a call they probally know what your boat should have on it allready
