Great article on Powell Rods @ Tackle Tour

Post by Guest »

Tackle Tour has a fantastic Q&A with Keith Bryan of Powell Rods. Pretty interesting reading. I got a kick out of reading about all the details behind this rod company.

Here is the link if you are interested!

Thanks for the link.

Great article, great rods :)

To this day, one of my all time favorite True Bass shows is the one where Keith just "tore um up" on Clear Lake in the grass with the LV 500, that show was incredible for sure :)

Now where can we buy those new, cool looking Powell shirts ????

You guys from California sure seem to help us southern boys out with fishing techniques and equipment as of late. Powell rods are case in point. Unmatched feel and weight for everything I do where I live too. I can afford anything but buy Powell rods. I just wish Keith would take some of these neon blue St. Croix pieces of junk as trade in.

BTW- thanks to all that run this site. Have learned a ton from the videos and watching some of the bait trends-

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the plug and thanks for the plug on Swimbait nation regarding the 8 swimbait rods that we make, and on the new facility too.

Steve-thanks for the hometown support that’s always great, appreciate it.

Biteme-Glad you like the stix and the read.

Kurt-I got lucky on that bite, butt let me tell ya, that was a fun day. In fact, once I dropped the cameraman off, I went back with a friend and caught em till the sun went down. They were boiling everywhere. I wish I could get out more, but you guys are keeping me busy, no complaints though. In fact, jerseys will be made available in a merchandising program in the not too distant future; we are working on it now. Some stores in the East already have duplicates of John Murray’s hanging in their stores right now and folks want his, and they also want one with their own name on it. So, now I got to get busy with that too, pretty cool. We’ll get you that opportunity as soon as we can. Keep a heads up. We've had many folks asking for those. We are just working out different color schemes, and other details, etc.

Skeeterman-I’m hoping that’s a grammatical, if not, it’s all good we’ll keep working hard to earn your business. (Skeeterman wrote-Thanks for sharing. You can go wrong when you buy a Powell.)

Matthew-thanks for that, and I like the gentleman term, I must be moving on up, Fish hard.

Ward-Bring em on, but I’m not touching the rest of that statement. I wish I could afford more stuff like you though. I think I might like your job, oh well.

Paul-that’s right you fish the fly rod line too. Catching stripers on bugs is cool isn’t it?

Matt D-Right on. Glad you liked it. The TT Guys do a great job. In fact, I kind of like their job. Seems like they get to fish a lot.

Thanks you guys and all of the other that have emailed, called, etc., you guys are great.- Keep fishing hard and thanks for the support.

Tight Lines,
KDB
