The Raiders finally made the smartest move in franchise history, the sent Moss packing! Then the draft started and they fell back into their old ways, 11 picks in the first 7 rounds, 1, read it, ONE offensive lineman.

At 6'6" and 260 pounds, if Russell starts this season at QB, I'll bet a Slammer he's down to 220 by the end of the season! HAR! HAR! HAR!

I hope Russell is the answer. I would NOT have picked him. I hope he stays healthy. It was a great move to pick McCown. I hope they do it Vince Young style and let Russell learn first.

I was one of the few who was embarased by the acquisation of Moss and at the time was bombed by my Raider fan friends. I have no use for Moss.

All in all I think the Raiders made some progress. I am excited to see the RB Bush we picked up at pick 100. I think an 8-8 season would be tremendous. We need one more good draft like this next year, and give the new coach 3 years. I think it will take 3 years for the Raiders to be in competative playoff form. We have to play Denver and San Diego twice each. Our team needs to be built to match the talent Denver and San Diego have.

THIS TEAM WILL NOT BE COMPETITIVE AGAIN UNTIL DAVIS IS GONE AND THEY GET A NEW GM......until those two things happen they dont have a chance in haiti to be competitive.
Once the ownership changes AND a new GM is brought in..they need to implode the team and start new..
Until then its just 2-14 to 5-11 seasons for you guys.
