Dobyns rods at Waltons Pond San Leandro

Post by Big Rick KFOG »

I saw the rods in good supply at Walton's Pond today. Wow they looked nice and felt really balanced. I just picked up a lower priced spinning rod for a bit. I love that they are mostly flat black. No shiny sparkle-y hardware or wraps on them. I hate having some guide sparkle and distract me when I am line watching. I can barely pay attention as it is...

These rods won't do that. Yea!

I also like the split grip. I've built a couple of rods, always flat black and with a split grip. (There is some rod exposed after the reel seat)

So a 45 second review is "wow awesome." I had over 200 dollars of tackle getting rung up, otherwise I'd have one. Gotta wait for my next payola check to come in.  :!:

I think if you're shopping for a rod wait until you can have a look at these.

"I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

"OK guys, Who brought the banana?"
