Need a prop or advice

Post by biteme »

So after fishing today I went to tighten the straps on my boat. I saw that one of my blades on my prop was GONE! I have no idea when or how this happened. No bumps no fishing in shallow water today. It look like someone took a bite out of it. The odd part was I didnt notice anything on the way in to the ramp. Anyway any suggestions of where I can get a used prop for a 03 520 with a opti 225?? Thanks!!

Look in the WB classifieds. I have seen a couple of props for sale there recently. Also call Phil's (WesternBass.Com Site Sponsor  ) as I hear they have used props for sale from time to time. Then ask them how much to repair yours. Might be about the same as a replacement or even less???

this has been dicussed in many other forums, I assume it is a Trophy (4 blade). Trophy has been known to throw blades and Mercury has been covering them under warranty. Get with your dealer, he should be ble to take care of you, depending on age and your relationships.
