Tackle Shops Near Folsom
Heading to folsom for a few days to fish and have never been there. Are there any tackle shops near the lake?
I love huntin cause I love going deep into the bush and I always shoot twice!!
Re: Tackle Shops Near Folsom
It will depend on which fork you plan in launching at:
North Fork there is Fishermans warehouse in Rocklin off I-80
South Fork you have Fishermans warehouse in Sacramento or Yates in Rancho Cordova,as well as Paulson's off hiway 50.
Downtown near the freeway splits there is Sac Pro tackle and the old troy 's tackle.
Not many mom & pop shops anymore, Fran & Eddy is gone as well as the Depot, there is the Walmarts and Kmarts but they do not have the specific hand pours etc.
Best bet is to make a Oroville Outdoors internet order before hand and stock up.

I'm making fewer trips to Wild Sports and instead make the drive to Fisherman's Warehouse. I've been disappointed at W.S. too many times, they still don't stock cylindrical (ie Mojo) drop shot weights. Nice store but a bit old school at times (I'm nearly 50 so don't take that wrong).
For emergencies the Raley's at Green Valley and Natoma (opposite the vacant former Ralph's site) near Folsom Point stocks a surprisingly good selection of Robo Worms. I don't recall seeing any FX and you're going to pay a bit more but in a pinch....
