Summer Fishing Shirt (Sun protectant and cool)

As summer and the hot, hot, Sun approaches, I want to get a good fishing shirt that will help keep me cool and more importantly sunburn free. What are some good brands/styles for those long, fun days on the water. I have looked a little at Cabela's and BPS, mostly long sleeves that can be rolled up, but I know some of you have a lot of good input on this topic. Any guidance on where, what, and how much cost would be helpful.

Great protection, cool in the hottest weather (Loreto Baja late summer!) and you can wash them in a sink and they dry really fast if you are on a road trip and don't want to pack a bunch of shirts.

Last year I started using Cabelas Supplex Guidewear shirts. Definatly keeps me much cooler.

No matter which one you get a UV protectant long sleeve light cotton breathable shirt is THE WAY to go.

I was looking at the columbia titanium long sleeve collared button down shirts. They are super light weight, wick away moisture, and seem to be just the thing for those summer days on the delta, frog fishing in 100+ degrees (along with the columbia booney hat). I just have to find a place that sells xxl. Sports authority has them to size XL. Check them out.

i like the long sleeve/roll up shirts from columbia, ex-officio and bass pro. i buy whichever one is on sale. it seems that ex-officio is the heaviest of the three but has the best fabric. they all vent, which helps a lot.

Like several others, I favor the Columbia long-sleeved shirts made of their 100% nylon Backcountry cloth. For fishing in really hot weather, I cut the shirts off about an inch below my waistline and re-hem them. Not having the extra material to tuck in (which really is the pits in hot weather) or to hang down outside below the waist makes the shirts a lot cooler in hot weather and still provides adequate protection from the sun.

yet another vote for the long sleeve Columbia Bahama II shirt, I have it in white. amazing fabric, cool, dries quick and comfortable - it wears really well. that sun is brutal out there and the shirt works great for solar protection (UPF 30+) and personal comfort

I am hooked on Under amour loose fitting Ts, a cheap longsleeve that works well is a Dickey's chambray. Mine are worn a bit thin, breeze goes right through them. Also, they are a nice light blue like the sky so they work a little better for camo than white.

Long sleeves beat sunscreen by a long shot.
