Wrecked boat

Post by Turkeyman »

My friend and I decided to sneak away from work early yesterday (Friday) and try to get in a little night fishing before the crowds of lake lice took over the water for the weekend. Had a really great fishing trip putting together a 23-24 lb. limit for our best 5. We were almost home when a drunk driver slammed into the back of the boat as we started away from a stop sign at an intersection. My friends boat is a goner! Really sucks. It tore the motor compleletly off the boat after it busted a hole through the transom. The trailer is toast, the other car is totalled. They only bright side to the whole ordeal is that nobody was hurt and the STUPID lady was arrested and thrown in jail.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Is the boat covered by insurance? Glad to hear that both of you are okay, and that you had a good fishin trip :D

Best of luck

Yes the boat is insured. Luckily the other motorist has insurance also. We went to Melones and the accident happened at Geer Rd and Santa Fe north of Turlock.
