Fishing coaches need for kids June 2 in Chico!

Hi All,
Anybody within striking distance of Chico who is not committed to something major is needed to act as a "Fishing Coach" at the 14th annual "Hooked on Fishing, not on Drugs" children's event on June 2 at Horseshoe Lake in upper Bidwell Park **across from the golf course** in Chico.
This is one of the largest kid's fishing events in the entire United States, and in 1999 was awarded "Special Recognition" from the US Congress.
Literally THOUSANDS of kids are expected to show up and try for the 10,000 pounds of catfish being planted for the event.
the Chico Bass Club is one of the main organizers of this event, and volunteers are also needed on Thursday night May 31 to help with rigging/repairing the 600 "loaner" rods provided for the kids.
However, by far the biggest need is on the day of the event from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and we desperately need people who know how to show the kids how to put a nightcrawler on a hook, cast and so on.
We don't need your money or your boat; just you, a pair of pliers. and a smile
The kids will thank you for it.
