I was wondering what type of line you fish Senko's with? Whats a good color for Clear Lake and what areas do you target and how to you present this bait?
Thanks

I fished the lake from 3-31-05 to 4-3-05.......We used the watermelon/cream in a 5" dropshotting with a 2/0 finesse hook when we fished senkos. However we did better on finesse worms such as robos and robo fx in 4" and 4 1/2" and did well around any tuley patch and also had a rip bite in the afternoons wwich brought in bigger fish

16# FLuorcarbon line works great fer me. I would not go to ClearLake without a 194 Watermelon Seed or 297 Green Pumkin Senko. A third choice is the 214 Bluegill pattern, these are three consistant colors in the Spring. The key is to fish the edges of the tules around docks and tules around willow bushes. Until the fish really start getting on the beds and move shallow ta spawn, look for em in these areas as they are staging. State park to Rodman may be yer best area ta be fishing right now, it's been on fire fer a few weeks.
