Fished the DX703C for the first time on Saturday and landed big fish of the tournament on the fist cast. Thanks Gary! They are sweet.

Hey Brian,

How do you like the C-Rig rod. I know someone that was looking for one and told him to check them out.

Not sure if he bought one or not.

Good job at DVL.

A couple of weeks ago I had my non boater try gary's new frog rod and on the first cast we were bs'n and talking specifications and he stuck a nice fish that almost pulled the rod out of his hands! everyone that feels that set up loves it. So nice to have a perfect tool! richie rich

I bought the c734 for my oldest son's B-Day that is comming up on the 27th. Wife chit a brick...... but I told her it is bigger than an ipod nano in size and will get more affection.

He will have to buy his own reel and line to match it. With the $82 he has saved...... and what cash "may" be coming in the mail from family.... towards his purchase

Anyone have any idea for a reel and line to top it off with?

He wants a Revo,

I was thinking an open will be better and more priceworthy for flippin/pitchin jigs and such --

Image

What say you all for a reel to match?

with whats left over to get some polorized lensed sunglasses from Costco so he can site fish w/o using my pair. :?

Don't waste the money on Costco glasses - buy EyeSurrender - $29 for some of the best polarized fishin glasses on the market.

For the reel, the Revo would be a good choice to top that AWESOME rod. a 6.4 to 1 would match most of the bait choices well. I am partial to the old green Curado's. have him hold out for a good condition CU200 to go with that rod, he won't be sorry!!

You can tell Luke about our outing for Sunday. And ask him what time he wants to meet up. Or well sence you would be dropping him off(or I could always pick him up) what time would be best for you to get him to Russo's? Anytime is good for me just let me know when and Im there!!

Yeah Dan - Click on the link in my signature or go to www.eyesurrenderonline.com

You can order them direct from Eye Surrender or you can get them from a local dealer. I know that they are available at Oroville Outdoors.

Dan - I usually wear the grey but switch up while on the water depending on the conditions.

I used to be a diehard Oakley guy - until I got these. I wore them a few times, got to love them then approached the West Coast sales rep about becoming a member of their staff.

Mike - I do not have my dealer list yet but you can go to the website and contact the company and they can point ya in the right direction. I know Oroville Outdoors has them, which means if you call them up they will be sent to you ASAP.

If Im not mistaking I do belive Extreme Outdoorsman carries them! You might want to give them a shout. I belive it was somebody from eye surreder that gave a seminar about their product to the delta bass masters about 6months ago and if it was them I think I recall them saying they were selling them at Extreme Outdoorsman.

Dan We can meet at the docks say 6ish?? Let me know if this is ok!

Gator,

No offense, but it seems like some of the other glasses would be more economical what with the interchangeable lens. Let me know what you think. Do you have multiple pairs of the eyesurrender??

With the EyeSurrender's you have a lifetime warranty on them as well.. So if they scratch break or have some other problem... Send them in with shipping $$ and get a new pair. Can't beat that.

I have 3 pairs myself... and 1 pair of Costa Del Mars which are great but, over $140 for the pair. All 3 of my EyeSurrenders were less than that! I wear them each equally depending on the light conditions and fishing technique!

Tom,

Thanks for the insight. I was going to get the Costa's with the interchangeable lenses but i guess having 3 different pairs of glasses in the boat is not such a bad thing.

If your backseater forgets his glasses.. you've got him covered. I wear the Costa's around town and while driving... so if I forget to bring them to the boat at 5:00 AM or earlier (when its dark out) then I still have a pair or two in the boat.

Not to mention if they should happen to fly off flying across the lake at 70mph.

just my .02 .

If you get the Costa's make sure you get the new 580 lense... Outstanding. I love them, but the eye surrenders are great too and about $120 less! I have the CDM Frigate(s)

I hear you on that Tom.

I lost three pair of glasses last year. Boy did that hurt big time.

For $30 bucks I'll buy three pair so that I have a spare for my spare.
