I searched thier site and could not find the rules either. If my memory serves me right the organizations that have hosted the event in the past have posted the rules. Looks like Gene at the Hook is taking your money, so...
I think it's a lot of fun and look foward to it each year. It's kind of like golf to me, I can't compete worth a darn, but have a great time trying!
I think the jist of the rules are to fish the baits the way they are designed to fish. No added weights, props, etc...
I'll let someone that's 100% sure of the options explain them, if you feel confident you're going to be up on top, it's worth it to get into all of them. It sure makes a nicer payday for those that win :D !
Hope this helps a little, I'm sure there's more to follow.
I had to come back...I know...

Jigs - Typically, they do not make you remove tackle. I did the last time I fished it, simply to make the boat lighter

Does anyone know if the tournament structure is the same as in prior years?

IE. Saturday fish from 12-6 and Sunday fish from 6-12?

This would help out a lot.

I just called and left a message for Gene to please check this thread and respond. He is busy working on boats right now but I am sure he will come in as soon as he can and answer all of your questions.

:D I have tried emailing connie@greatlures.com and it keeps coming back as undeliverable. I am asking what the official baits the fisherman our suppose to use. Since some of the snagproof baits are not being allowed. Do you have any answers? There is no mention of the baits on the website, that is that I can find. Help please. Thank you Bev

There is no mention in those rules about minimum size (I need to worry about that). I also heard that last year they had a 3 fish limit, is it the same this year?

Bev - They mean that any items that are currently active and listed for sale on their site are available for use.

Here's a list I gathered up from the sale pages on the website.

Bleedin' Frog
Pro Series Poppin' Frog
Wiggle Wog
Pro-Series Tournament Frog
Bobby's Perfect Frog
The Weed Demon
SK Frog Ultra
Harry's Round Frog
Ultra Popper
Frogzilla
Moss Master Tournament Frog
Tournament Popper
Moss Mouse & Boss Rat
The Original Frog
Deadly Worm
Leech
Mini-Minnow
Soft Craw
Super Curly
Hawg Dawg

You can find links to these by going to http://www.snagproof.com/NewProducts.htm and then using the links on the left hand side of the page.

Remember - I am NOT SPEAKING for SnagProof or the TD - I am simply trying to answer questions as I interpret them.

Gator your doing a fine job keep it up.
Connie is on vacation until next week. When she returns all the questions will be answered. I have a copy of the rules if any one wants them they can call me and i will fax them to them or they can stop at Th Hook Line & Sinker for a copy.
There will not be a Breakfast this year But there will be a BBQ on Saturday during weigh ins. It will be Tri Tip and Chicken with all the trimins. Connie wants to have it included in the cost of the entry for the anglers and charge for others which will be very reasonable.
We are working on the band and there will be polygraph test given.
The Snag Proof Pro staff will be working the event and i will assist.
Entries may be sent to the Hook. and will be numbered as they come in. Blast off will be in the way you signed up on the first day and reversed on the second day.
I am not sure how many places they will pay back I wasn't there last year but I'm sure it will be the same or similar. Option money will be paid back 100%.
Abe Abe Abe thats all for now folks. See you on August 4th and 5th
