It is one of the hottest, if not THE hottest bluegill bait on the market right now. I just talked on the phone with Grant O. who started the company. He caught a 9 pound 11 ounce toad on the topwater version. There is also a sinking version.

As of right now, there is only a Red-Ear and the Bluegill patterns available.

The company that makes them is Black Dog Bait Co. Their website is blackdogbaits.com

No, I am not sponsored in any way by them, but Grant— if you read this, I am always open to that idea :D :D

Good luck finding out more!

I am waiting for the Lunker Plunker to be seen in a shop for Stripers this fall/winter. :D

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

I haven't put major time in on the bait yet but it has great action and twitches nicely.

Dan I hear that lunker punker has already been killin' some toads!

If I may... we did a little write up on Black Dog Baits earlier this year with pictures of the Shellcracker, Lunker Punker, and another bait. There's a photo in there of the wake behind the Lunker Punker as Grant was walking it back to the boat. You can find it here:
