Looking for Ramon Sonseca (spelling?)

Post by Vince Borges »

Hey Ramon I lent you a competitve edge rod and curado reel for the AC pro am on May 5th and was just curious if you were ever going to return it or send a check   . If anyone knows him and could have him get ahold of me that would be great.

Thanks!

Thanks Guyle, I have not heard from him since the tourney. I know Mathison has tried to get him to call me to no avail. Not sure if he liked it that much or what. oh well, Thanks again.

LOL  , We just might have too, seeings how he did not call me back.  . Well i guess thats what you get sometimes for trying to help a guy out. He showed up at the AC pro-am and claimed somebody stoll all his rods and reels, I didnt know the guy but Dan Mathison did. I was staying with Dan and figured he must be O.K. ( even though Dan didnt loan him any of his stuff  ) Well all I can say is whos the thief now.

Vince,

What the deal. You post about loaning somebody a rod, then call him a thief on a forum. That's not right. I fish with Ramon 'F'onseca, and your bad mouthin' a stand-up guy on a national forum. I also sent you a PM stating that I could bring you the rod back as I was working in Lodi. I also left you a phone # to contact me.

Your rod and reel are sitting in his garage, as his rods/reels have all been replace.

Maybe you could contact me and we could resolve this as stated three days ago.

You owe Ramon a formal apology.

After reading this and the Reaction Innovations thread I have to chime up.
What is a forum for? Is it to help out fellow anglers with information, whether that info be good or bad?
I appreciate all the information I can get.
I won't be buying any RI shakey heads until the flaws are worked out. The rest of thier stuff is great and I have tons of it.
I Won't be loaning any equiptment to this gentleman cause I would need it back right away, not a month and a half later!
Sometimes a public flogging is what's needed.
I had to come back...I know...

Let's start off by saying the spelling of my name is FONSECA. funny how everyone is looking for me but yet nobody has called. I have never been on this site before and knew nothing of it until a friend called and told me to look at it. you would think that someone who is so worried about his "equipment" would give the person he loans it to a number or address to send either a check or the stuff back. I have been to many fishing tournaments and not one person has said anything. I have tried to get a hold of you by calling Dan and nothing came of that. you were supposed to be at the next tournament after you gave me the rod but you were not there. you would think that grown men have better things to do then spend their days bad mouthing someone they know nothing about. This is supposed to be a professional sport and by playing little email games really makes it look bad. I would not talk bad about someone publically like this. I have your rod and have no intention on keeping it. if anyone would like to see the police report when ALL my fishing stuff along with my tools were taken let me know and I will bring it to the next tournament. I hope that maybe all who replied in a negative way and knew nothing of this story now realizes that it's better to find out the whole story before speaking on it. Dan has my number he can give it to you and we will meet and i will return your items. Have a great evening and God Bless!!!!!!!!

I fished with Ramon at Clear Lake in the Won Bass pro-am and I can tell you he is a stand up guy. I had left my cell phone in the back of his truck by accident after the tourney. I thought i dropped it somewhere, i had another fisherman call my phone and Ramon was trying to find me to get it back to me before i left, we were looking for each other so he could give me my phone back.
Now i ask YOU does that sound like a dishonest man. I don't think so....

Ramon, If you need to borrow any equipment for the AC pro-am coming up in august, call me. I have faith in you and have no problem lending you my gear.
