Sounds like a good time for some night fishing up there Jigs. I sure as heck wouldn't be out in the day with it being over 100.

Out here it's been getting to a whopping 80 or so. Gotta love living at the beach. :D

This is off topic slightly, but how does it effect the fishing when the water is dropping a foot or more a day? I imagine it pushes them deeper where there is no worry of drying up. I ask because I lake I fish alot is dropping at a foot or more a day and the bite lately has just sucked. I need something to blame my lack of catching fish on.

We are in Vegas and it was hot on Fremont St. Record heat!

Living in Copperopolis the heat is normal. 113, 116, who cares. Call me when my skin melts off at 140.
Don't be lame. It's just fishing; you are not the new mesiah you know! Check your attitude at the door Mr. Spinners on da boat trailer.

I'm sorry I just cant resist.I live in Salinas and was born and raised here.Right now it's about 61 degree's and an overcast sky.

It's a little after six and I work in Monterey and the high today was about 70-74 degree's.I would probably have perished by now if I had to survive in that heat.

Why do you think this town was in the top five in the nation for average house price's,like I said I was born here.

Hey Jigs...

Post by Johnny C »

Was out there on Thursday putting some hours on my new powerhead..113 is what I had too at Pedro. Cooled off to 110 yesterday as I was out there again. Never saw a bass boat..Didn't launch untill noon each day. Still was able to catch some nice fish all drop shottin...Oddly yesterday with the breeze it was not as good...Wednesday helped my girlfried move in the 108 heat in Copper. Today I am all cramped up and hugging the AC.

I came home from work early today, blurred vision and light headed. next is ringing ears and if your lucky picking your self up off the floor.

stopped sweating and by the time I could get myway out of the peice of stainless steel equipment I was working on (10 min) I was well on the way to heat stroke.

I was drinking pleanty of water but between the sun turning the equipment into an oven and an lunch coffie I was cooked.

Cooling down some today. High around 104, which for here is about normal. Also 50% chance of rain today. We can use the rain here!!! Only problem is it will get a little more humid today. I'll take the dry heat over that humid stuff any day of the week. 3 months of summer & then our weather really shines here. That's why we get all the "Snow-Birds" here in the winter!!!!
