LEGEND OWNERS CREED

Post by Lance »

You know, after reading thread after thread after thread about Legend Boats, and the tireless testimony of countless people, over and over again, I got ta thinking. What Legend owners need is a creed, a creed that declares their commitment to excellence. So here we go Legend owners, say it loud, say it proud and damn it, dont let anyone tell you different.

This is my Legend. There are many like it, Cobra, Viper and Hawk, but this one is mine.

My Legend is my bestist friend. It is my life. I must drive crazy as I must drive everyone crazy.

My Legend, without me, is useless. Without my Legend, I am useless. I must ride my Legend true. I must ride faster and straighter than my enemies, Rangers, Champion and Triton, they are trying to kill me. I must beat them before they beat me. I will.

My Legend and I know that what counts in this war is not the hype, the noise from our mouths, nor the smoke we blow. We know that it is the hits that we take. We will slap back.

My Legend is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its hull, its parts, its accessories, its motor, and its paint job. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my boat clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will.

Before God I swear this creed. My Legend and I are the defenders of Bass Fishing. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of our sponcer.

So be it, until victory is Legends and there is no enemy, but Peace!

Have you ever seen Miss Budweiser driven by an amatuer. It would flip, my point is if your walking side to side learn to drive. Triton Says High performance for a reason and any real driver learns how to drive it with no effort. Sorry, but the chine walk is all driver and if he's having that many prob's someone needs to show him how to drive. Once you learn how to drive a PERFORMANCE boat you wont go back to the floating barge's.

The thaught of skinny *** Shaun Bailey riding a bronco killed me!

DougH - I ride in a Skeeter for 1/2 of my team tournaments... and it's pretty fast... but, I need a seat belt to keep me in the boat! Actually, I really like the Skeeter boat - just not quite as much as I do my Legend! The boat is very stable and fishes really well.

Shaun, nothing like the hook turns at 65 in the legend, they sure turn on a time and take back off the other direction dont they! 77.9??? for pinks? give me a few more hours and seat time, maybe i want in on this race, i could sell that triton for about 65K over in japan!

Now I'm wondering wha the fastest hull is, say the same motor is on all of them...
We also need a jockey for a driver....lightweight felly, kinda slim....less wind resistance..... no belly (that eliminates me  )

Lance ! that would be 0 % wind resistance and no weight either  !

Lance bring that Triton to Lake Mead when it is showing off with six footers. Then tell me how great that Triton is.
I agree with you there is one great difference in a Triton than a Legend. I believe it is $1,5000 or more. Think what you could do with that work less spend more time on the web. Vern

Vern,

I havent been on Mead in 6 footers on a Triton 196 but I have been in Justin Kerr's 20X in 6 footers last year when I was fishing WON as a Co-Angler. We were coming out of the Overton arm when we hit the stuff. I yelled to him that I should of brought my rain gear, he yelled back, your not going to get wet. He was right, well sort of, I was lightly sprayed in the face. I did screw up my back this year at Mead in some big ones, wasent the boat though.

AS far as the fastest bass boat, I have seen video of a 300 promax powered allison at 111mph with shots of the GPS for verification.

Allsion boats are the fastest bass boats i have ever seen. When i was fishing tournaments out in TN there were a few allsion boats and we mostly fished on OLD HICKORY LAKE and they were running mid 80's and up!!!. Even in non tournaments I had a place right on the lake and you could see them screaming around the lake all day. Fastest boats hands down.

There a Dime a Dozen out here in Florida. Every Tournament there are 10-15 Allisons, Strokers, Storms, Fast Cats, bullets, Big O's, Gamblers you name it speed boats are big out here. Its not Uncommon to be running 75 and get passed like your sitting still.

I Ran a new 20Ft Allison w/Mercury 300 at 98MPH and its a RUSH. But thats the only thing I saw that was Good about the boat. The storage, Livewell and decks are real small and annoying to fish in. Their actually pretty cheap too, compared to most new bass boats.

Pauls buddy owns " Cole World Class Boats " they make a few boats that do well over a hundred  i need to convince him to let me strap a trolling motor on one  but im with Lance over a hundo in a bass boat is to much. Especially when you've been ejected at 70 + before...
