ha ha dewayne, i know what your thinking but entirely differnt trip.... that trip the boat was towed by Kota Kirayama and cooch and sTony got my truck and trailer, that was just a lower unit. This one about fell off.

Spaking of falling off, I had a evinrude fall off the back of a ranger at mead, i wonder where them pictures are.

HHHMM!!

What is the common thing here other than a Ranger. HMMMM???

You better learn your preventitive mainenance better with that Legend. They too use transome bolts that occasionally need to be tightened. :)

PS - Not running over reefs also helps.

That ranger had nothing to do with tightening transom bolts, the ranger at mead? the 6 footers might of played into that...

the lower unit? who the heck was it that told me little franks was a neat place to explore!

There's no reason anyone here needs to put down another boat company to push their own. Ranger Boats make a fantastic bunch of boats. I've been proud to have been an owner of several over the years and I loved 'em all.

lol I dont think Wood was doing any boat bashing Tony. I think he was just having a little fun trying to stir the pot a little. Pick your poison, Ranger, Triton, Skeeter, Basscat, Legend etc. They all make really good boats.

The best bass boat ever made, is the one you own and this is especially true if it is paid for..They are all excellent, some may be slightly more so, but at the same time some of those may have problems at one time or another..Some are fast, some are more stable when fishing, some are better for rough water..They are all great..

Please Mike, when have I ever bashed Ranger? Please go back and look at all my posts since this website was created and show me where I bashed ranger or better yet another boat company. All the boat compaines make fine boats, everyone has there own opinion. I found the old pic and it cracked me up.

And please don't tell me becuase of this you wouldn't buy a Legend, cause we know that really is not the reason.

CN, the point of this post was I liked the picture and its fishing related, and since I took the picture and everyone was saying how much this boat was better than that boat and that boat was towing this boat, i thought id share a nice laugh with everyone to see..... Thats why... Good enough reason or no?

Kevin,
Is there any truth to the rumor that the Japanese have come up with a waterproof cellphone that they drop down open, with the camera on, and then call from the boat to check out the fish? I heard they even have a biosonix/type ring tone.

On a more serious note, do you know what kind of boat Kevin Shin fishes out of? I saw it Saturday, but couldn't figure out what brand it was.

Mark, can't confirm nor deny the new cell phone bsx version. :?

Isn't this how rumors get started Mark? Rumors are a nasty thing....

As for Kevin Shin, I saw a picture of a boat he was in a while back but I couldn't really tell you for sure.... Not sure if it's new or old... I haven't talked to him in a while.

Kevin,
Rumors are, indeed, nasty. However, stirring the pot is a good thing.
Besides, who knows, I may have a great idea there. Lord knows I've dropped enough phones into the water to pay for a waterproof phone, whatever the cost.
I saw Kevin Saturday at the Top Stick at Castaic, and he was fishing out of a brown boat with orange stripes. I didn't approach him, as he had a camera guy on the boat with him and was filming, so I never got a chance to ask him myself.

Mark,

I thought Kevin had a champ but don't quote me on it. The last picture I saw him in was in a champ, his or not, no idea as pictures didn't have words.

Your right about rumors and stiring the pot. Not always such a bad thing. Some people just take it the wrong way I guess. Some will live, some will die, some will get over it and well, some will not!

People around here these days take things way to serious. How was fishing at Casitac on Saturday Mark? How did you do?

I once blew a fuse in my motor on my Hawk

Post by Jim Conlow Sr. »

And was tremendously grateful to the Ranger owner who toed me about 20 miles back to the dock and totally refused to let me even him any gas money.

He just said please return the favor to another boater if you ever get the chance

since then I have towed 4 other boats back to docks.

I watched him for about two hours totally focused on

Post by Jim Conlow Sr. »

He was totally focused on catching a sight fish on a bed.

ever since that he has had a crappy brain. I mean he has Crappy on the brain. I mean his thoughts are all Crappy, no what i am trying to say is that since catching a huge lady crappy when he thought he was fishing for a bass it has just done something to his psyche. However I really think he is totally harmless sven though he has all of the symptoms of the Halerica thumps. but what it really is, is congenital mesmerization.

Just remember that it is not nice to pick on the mentally challenged especially those who are callenged in other ways not mentionaable on this forum
