If it's one of the local clubs, you have to be a member of that club.

It's our club fishing Hodges on Sat. The California Bass Contenders, I know you can fish as a guest, but I'm pretty sure you must fish with a member.

I was "on em" once. So I signed up for the El Cajon Ford San Diego Team Open. I went out and prefished the last available day. Put my boat on the water, stuck a 4 pounder, then a 5 on succesive casts. Went back to the ramp and put my boat on the trailer while guys were still launching in the dark. Went home and counted my money. Tournament day comes and I go to my spot and fish HARD for HOURS! Can't buy a bite. Spent the whole day with nothing but shorts for my effort. Guess that is why they make you bring em in on tournament day.

Oh yeah. I have had many pre fish days like that, but we have fished with 80+ boats on the water and i have one rock pile i can sit on all day and easily boat that. The bite has been wide so keep it under your hat. The buzzjet doesnt work there... OTAY i have seen you out there and your sorta doing what we are doing. I wish i could sign up with you but its my b day so im taking my dad out. I will be there though, feel free to say hello. Im a young guy ill be 26 I have a 188 champion with a 200 on it, all white/gun metal. You should come say hi.

Good job. I scored tic's to Barrett at the last minute- got 17 over 12", mostly on topwater. Love to see that 6.3.

robert you shouldnt hook fish the day before a tournament not soo smart pre fish tactics. plastics--dont swing on em...reaction baits--take the hooks off.

Thanks for the help. Wish you were there to stop me. Actually "some guy" in most of these tournaments the last prefish day is a week before the actual tournament. Most of the time on San Diego lakes you are OK to stick a fish or two during prefish. Especially in August. Just dont beat up your spot. If you are fishing for one bite here or there in the EC Ford you will be disappointed.
