Low stretch Monofiliment

Post by Randy Turner »

Does anyone know which mono lines stretch the least. I've heard stretch percentages regarding mono anywhere from 25%-45%. I'm looking for very low stretch mono because while I appreciate the no stretch and invisibility of fluro, I have never liked the way it handles when I'm pitching and flipping. And yes, I've tried 6-7 different brands and prices from cheap to sugoi.
Thanks for the help.

Give either P-Line flouroclear(co-polymar coated w/flouro) or the
flourocarbon line (Vanish transition) a go. They both work well.

Contrary to popular belief

Flouro does stretch, although very little in comparison to the typical mono..I prefer Yozuri co-polymer..Not much stretch, but most of the attributes of flouro, with the castability of mono..Also fo mono, I have been using a lot of Maxima, it stretches, but not like some of the others..
