Dobyn's Rods
I tried out one of Gary's new rods a 733c , that is one sweet rod for throwing spooks ! I have been looking for a good light weight spook rod with the right action and finally I found the perfect rod to get the job done , I havent tried it for anything else yet but it seems like it could be a very versitile rod , so I might have to get a couple more . Thanks , Gary for designing an excellent rod that will help me become a better angler .

Re: Dobyn's Rods
Have to agree. I'm throwing my spooks and sammies on the 733C --Fast and it is just tooooo sweet! Been putting the 704C Extra Fast through the ringer too...

Brian,
Tie a blade up to that 733, the rod loads up so smooth.
You're right, this is a very versatile rod, I can see a ton of senkos at the end of one of mine.

I have yet to find a Dobyns rod I don't like.. In fact, I just picked up a 703c Ex-Fast at Fisherman's Warehouse about an hour ago... Excellent job on the design Gary... Awesome Rods.

Thanks guys!!
My favorite today at Clear Lake was a DX705C jig rod. The 704C did a great job also. I got to watch a bunch caught on the 703C.
All jig fish on structure, no great big'uns.

YOU CAN FIND NO BETTER ROD THAN THESE DOBYNS RODS.
TRUST ME ON THIS: BASS FISHING SINCE 1963, TOURNAMENTS SINCE 1988, OWNING A TACKLE SHOP, WE HAVE SEEN ALOT OF RODS. A LOT OF GOOD/GREAT RODS. I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THEM ON STRIPERS AND SALMON SOON.
I USE THE 704C HERE AT DON PEDRO FOR MY JIGS & THE NEW LEFTY'S PUFFBALL JIG HANDELS IT EXTREMELY WELL. VERY SENSITIVE. WITH 16LB SUGOI FLOROCARBON.
MY 734C FOR ALL MY JIGS SPINNERBAITS, WITH 17LB TRILENE XL GREEN WORKS GREAT.
AND MY 705CB FOR ALL MY RIP AND CRANKBAITS, WITH 12LB TRILENE XL GREEN WORKS GREAT.
I HAVE FINALLY HAD THE TIME TO USE THEM ALL AND CATCH BASS ON ALL OF THE RODS.....
AGAIN GREAT CHOICE BRIAN, I HOPE WE HELPED TO CONVINCE YOU SOMEHOW.....THANKS AGAIN GARY.

Yep, I really like the 703 for Senkos, Flukes and lighter jigs (3/8 oz or less) but I'm really digging on the 704 for the larger jigs. I flat cannot WAIT for my 734 to show up ... I can see myslef using that darn thing for so many applications ... definitely will need a few of 'em!

Re: Thanks guys!!
and I like the DX 733 for fishing Gary's favorite bait "Da Spoon". Gary can you put Spoons on the side of this rod since you don't fish spoons
. LOL.
