Hi all, Is there a way to get a on-line map of the delta and tide chart? I want to try and get familiar with the delta. I plan on going out Saturday morning, I have been there a few times but never by myself which I will be tomorrow. I'll probably launch out of Paradise point since its fairly close. I hear about all these different sloughs but not sure where they all are. I have a map in my boat of the delta, but would like to study it on breaks here at work. I'm not very experienced at fishing, I have been doing it now years off an on, but have my boat now for 6 months. My Biggest Lm Bass is 5 lbs. I would love to break that record. If anyone want to share any tips with me or maybe want to take me out/ vis versa/ that would be great, or even a PM to keep the secrecy . Currently I strictly fish for fun and will be a while if ever I fish tournaments. I've been planing on joining a local Club in Sac area, but I'm usually tied up with my daughter or 5 month old son. I will make the next 2 meetings . Thanks all for any help and guidance on the delta.
Sorry for making another topic on this, but I wasnt able to reply to the first one.
gman20475 Thanks for you response. That will help me out alot.
Can anyone else help on the delta part? What areas to fish, how to fish with the tide. Thanks again all for any help

Re: Delta Help
Go to any local wal-mart and they should have a good map of the delta.
As far as learning the delta and bass fishing, go with a guide. They may seem alittle expensive but their knowledge will be well worth it and save you alot of time and money in the long run.
Good luck!

Re: Delta Help
I didn't tell you, but if you want to go to Sycamore Slough, go out of Wimpys off of Thorton Rd/Walnut Grove. go left out of the marina, and Sycamore Slough will be the third Slough to the left, just past Horsehead Island...good fishing..
btw...the tide table times should be within 15 minutes for Paradise Point....if you go out of Paradise Point, fish Disappointment Slough, it is good for Black Bass also, I have also found that I have had better luck when I fish the areas with moving water....if the tide is out, then they tend to hang out at the moss lines, if it is in they like to get deep in the tules, or hang out in the deeper water if it is too hot

Re: Delta Help
Along with a map, It might be helpful to carry a GPS. A hand held unit is very inexpensive, it will help you get back to your starting point (by back tracking) should you get turned around, and mark the sweet spots that you find to fish. It will not however help you with the tides. Just something to consider. My first Bass fishing outing in the Delta was in 1979. It's kind of overwhelming with the amount sloughs, and turns that all look alike. It had me going. But like the rest of us you'll get a handle on it. The Delta what a fishing mecca. One of the best.
