Congratulations Joe Leaonard(11.33lbs today) at..........
the California Delta. Just an awesome fish and could not believe it did not weigh more. What a freakin toad. We used the Bobby Barrack (7 Second Rule) to get this fish. We were catching some decent frog fish out there and then it started to slow down a little bit. We decided we were gonna head out and check some other places. Joe is getting ready to pull up the trolling motor and I decided to make one last cast at a small grass mat with my large white River 2 Sea frog. Frog lands, wait a second, twitch, and kapoosh, a freakin hand grenade goes off. The fish came completely out of the water and completely missed my frog. Joe caught a glimpse of it as it was going back down. For me it was slow motion and I got a real good look at this fish and yelled "DOUBLE DIGIT". Joe picks up the flippin stick with the chigger craw and throws right into the hole that was made and BOOM, he hooks up with the TOAD. We both see the fish going bonkers down there. It's huge. I grab the net and Joe is tussling and and hanging on for dear life. It seemed like forever. Finally the fish is coming up with a big wad of grass on her and I swoop down with the net and in she goes. Everything went perfect. High fives, yelling and laughing, and "Oh My God" several times. Just a lot of fun. Several pictures taken and weighed twice with the Berkley scale and the Cul Em Right and back into the water she went. Awesome. Congratulations Joe on your personal best. I'm glad I was a part of it. D.B.COOPER

Bobby always says, if you throw a follow up bait with in 7 sec. you have a much better % of catching that fish that blows up on your frog.

Thats how frog fishing was tought to me, it's a 2 rod deal.
Frog rod and a soft lrg plastic follow up bait. Right back into the hole/area. I do it with a buzzbait as well.
Actually I try to allways have a lrg senko. ready to pitch.
