whats going on at clear lake? where are all the fish?

i went up for memorial day weekend hoping to catch some fish but all i got were some blue gills. i wonder if its because all the grass was killed of? any info would help thanks.

We had a major low pressure front hit at 12:30 am on Friday night, I know i was fishing then. The temp dropped 20 plus degrees and the wind blew like hades the rest of the night and all day saturday. The wind resided some on Sunday. The fish are still tight , caught 20 plus fish in the keys on saturday to 4.5 pounds, flipping Beavers and if you think you are flipping tight then tighten up even more. I too picked up a lot of big blue gill on a beaver and a crank bait, with even more " machine gun" hits that they are famous for. Still some bed fish too, saw 2 over 10 one locked and one not so locked. It is starting to feel post spawn and by the way people were talking at the ramps the frontal system really hurt the bite this past weekend. lot of people with only a fish or two for the day.The weather on this Lake came be relentless and she was this past weekend. Better luck next time.

I've been there 5 times last week,launching from Redbud because it's closest for me.Tues, got 1 bite,1 fish,7.1lbs.Wed late afternoon until dark, 1 Spook fish and 3 dropshot fish.Friday early A.M. hoping for topwater,nada and about $40 worth of gas later 4 or 5 dinks!Saturday in hella wind,a few dinks dropshotting,and Monday afternoon mostly boating with a few fish on skirted grubs!To say the bite is off is an understatement.Spring is late coming.Ya can't see through the water on the entire South end of the lake,so sight fishing aint happening.Personally,I don't think(hoping) the majority of fish have spawned on Redbud end of lake yet.Either that,or it's not going to be the stellar year like it was last year for post spawn fish.We had 40 fish days last year from the spawn until October!Damn!I'll bet a lot of fish snuck in during the wind storm,and I'm gonna get em next weekend!I hope.

Was there on Friday and although not many bites, boated an 8.9, a 9.1 and one "dinker" 8.2. Only 3 fish but 26 pounds ain't too bad. Shoot me an email and maybe I can help.
