fyi..triton owners tournament west..

Post by eagle123777 »

i know we all have decisions to make concering family and tournaments thru out the year so wont go into that. last week my teammate talked with the TD's of the tournament and as of that conversation we only had 50 teams signed up for the tournament. he was told that to come back next year they would need at least 100 teams and i can understand that with the expense it takes to come west and especially since they get 300 teams every year back east. so this note is really for the owners who may have been thinking about joining us in oct...we on the west coast could use ur support especially since i personally pinged triton for four years to come west...just a note..i am not sponsored by triton or anyway one just want to get the word out again....jack

Here are just a few things for the event:

We are looking forward to a great event and I am sure there are more of you that have not signed up that plan on coming.

We have spoken to Konocti about their room rates for the anglers at this event and if you have already booked a room make sure you are getting the revised room rates. You may need to call Konocti to straighten that out.

We will be giving away a fully rigged 20' Triton with a Mercury 225 as a drawing at the event. There will also be a great payback.

There is some confusion that you have to stay and launch at Konocti Resort......NOT TRUE. It is in the rules but you will be allowed to launch and stay wherever you want on Clear Lake. We willl do a livewell check on the docks for those anglers running over in the morning.

If you are a Triton owner and didn't get a flyer for the event you can throw me a private message and I will send you one or you can get one at any of the Triton dealers or check out www.tritonboats.com for all the information.

I am looking forward to this event and if you are a Triton owner without a partner and want to fish it try throwing a post up here and on western bass and I am sure you may find a partner to spend the weekend with up there. Only the boat owner needs to be a Triton owner.

Hope to see alll of you at the Triton Owners Tournament on October 6 and 7th at the best bass lake in the country.....Clear Lake

Does anyone know the discount on rooms for the Triton tourney? The room they quoted me was $119. From what they told me it was a $10 discount. Does that sound about right?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott, I just got my room confirmation from Konocti Harbor. Triton boat owners are given a room rate of $99.00. You do get a boat slip at no extra charge but you have to reserve it through the marina.

weekday and sunday nights are cheaper then fridays and saturdays at konocti...but shouldnt be more then 99 especially at the vista cloud part of the resort...closest part to the marina...and the slips are free and reserved for us, and as bob said free of charge....jack

Thanks for the replies. I believe they were quoting me the available "deluxe" rooms that run $129 nonconcert weekends ($119 for the tournament). The standard rate for a nonconcert double bed is $99 for the Vista Cloud economy rooms and apparenty they are all reserved.

Thanks again.

It is a real bummer that this is on top of the Federation State Championship...

It is hard to miss everything but we got the permit for this event at last year's jamboree so everyone knew when it was. It is also the cutoff weekend for the FLW National Guard Series so any later the guys fishing FLW wouldn't be able to fish it. Alot of planning goes on putting one of these events on.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there

Oh yes Kent, I fully understand scheduling nightmares. It just leave me wanting to be two places at the same time. NOW if you can get the Federation to take my Clear Lake weight and use that to inject me into the standings of the Fed tournament at Castaic.... I would go for that. Otherwise I must miss the Triton show. (and eveyone knows with a name like mine I was going to win that raffle drawing for the new boat)
