Does keswick still have a launch ramp ?? last time i fished keswick was 1970 . There was one launch ramp west side and if not careful, someone would steel what they could from your parked vehicle. We caught no Bass back then , but large trout very large browns and rainbows live in that lake !! Or did !! I mean water comes out of the bottom of Shasta it was like 50 degrees or colder !!

Ive never heard of anyone catching a bass out of there. Only large trout like the previous poster mentioned. Very cold water. If you do pull a bass out of there, let me know! I'll fire up the river boat!

Thanks for the info. Yes there is one launch ramp and it would be easy for anyone to steal everything including your truck and trailer. I live in Lake Ca. there are some nice bass in there. I was just looking for some other lakes to go too. Thanks again.

Damn Agner!......You must love that double post! . But seriously there are some monster trout in Keswick, Never heard of anyone bass fishing it though. Seems like it would make sense if spot's or smallies were in there though considering where the water comes from  ....Kinda funny this post came up because I just got back from showing pop's where the launch is out there.

Not that I've ever fished Keswick, but I have fished the Sac river below it. Water temeratures never get above 60 degrees year 'round...usually mid 50s because it's bottom fed from Shasta dam. I seriously doubt there is much of a bass population, if any. Same story with Lewiston Res. below Trinity Lake.

I have heard of huge trout in both lakes, as others have mentioned.
