I wanted to relay some great ethics from the Top Stick Classic that just past. After getting on a spot loaded with nice fish Saturday about mid way through the morning I had about 10 boats come near (no closer than 50 yards) to the area I was fishing but at no time did anyone come close enough for me to wonder if words needed to be exchanged(for me to ask for some room). On day two I had no problem regaining the spot that I had established my day one lead on (this is what fishing with pro's is like) and again never had anyone come very close to Keith and I so that we could fish for the win. I seen at least half of the field come around the corner and either stop right in their tracks or turn around and leave. All of you that did just this I would like to say "Thank you". Was it "MY" spot? No. Could have anyone fished it? Yes. Being a "PRO" does not mean your a good stick all the time, you can be a "PRO" by how you conduct yourselves out on the water whether your in a tourney or not. Just like any other sport you have the "unwritten rules" that are around. Just like other sports you have consequences for breaking an "unwritten rule", mostly in fishing that will be a bad reputation (sometimes fights and such). Not everyone cares about that but most do. It all comes down to this, common courtesy. Either you were brought up with it or you learned about it, JUST USE IT!!!!!
