Merle,
23 boats launched yesterday. It appears that the tough bite that has persisted for the past few weeks kept some guys away (plus football was on...including my *ugh* Raiders  ) and combine that with the fact that the Oroville Open was a very short notice tournament. Nonetheless it was an enjoyable tournament and a fun day fishing (especially in the sunshine 8) ).

Note to Doug.
Thank you for the kind words. We are very glad you guys got to come out yesterday and take part in the FBL event. Scott and I work very hard to provide the best possible experience for our anglers. We keep the registration easy, we blast on time, keep the expenses down, and work on making the weigh-in as quick and professional as possible. So far, the feedback we have gotten has been extremely positive.

If there is a 'silver lining' from the low water levels at Folsom is that it has give us the opportunity to take our show on the road to places like Oroville and the Delta -- and meet guys that wouldn't normally get to experience an FBL event.

We hope to see everyone at our next event. Look for an official announcement here on the forum and on our website soon.

Greg and Scott, you guys do a great job.

Your staff does a great job as well, what a model of efficiency  !

Had a great time, even though we couldn't find the better fish, maybe next time.

Are you serious? What did they do?

On another note, Scott always does a good job with his events. I have only missed one since he started and that was because I was in Montana Killing Elk. Keep up the good work Scott, and I will see you at the next one.

P.S. Scott just so you know, My Brother In Law wasn't kidding about the info he gave you. You know what I mean 8)

Damn I can't believe I missed that one. If I realized how bad the rest of you were going to fish I would have been there.....9.56lbs for first? Are you kidding me? I haven't had a limit that small on Oroville in 3 yrs.......
You should have been at Folsom, we idled around for about 3 hours and had a little over 14lbs...... It was a tough bite though, we only managed 9 fish.
See you at the next one....

That might be possible with this cooling weather trend we have going on right now those big fish are going to be moving up and stocking there belly's for the winter time I will gurantee it takes 12 something to win that tournament you'll need 9.5 to see a check

Cleb,
I was just poking fun, I kind of the miss a couple of the guys that are no longer allowed to post on this forum. My post was in the spirit of past post by those individuals.
My hats off to you for a great win. We actually only caught 5 fish at Folsom for about 9lbs. It was tough there as well.

Brian Brian Brian........

Let me spell it out for you S L O W L Y.

Hipster and I were boat #6. I was driving and he was in the boat for the livewell check.....Hipster inadvertently called Mike "Tom" and Tom...I mean Mike said that we were DQ'ed...........so, in the simplest of terms (those I know you understand) it was a JOKE!!!

lol....before any rumours get started...there were no DQ's and no incidents. Actually it was a very enjoyable day (I mean, other than the skinny fish). Hopefully next month's tournament at Oroville will kick out some bigger spots!

We are looking at returning to Oroville on Sunday, Oct 14th. Right now we are just waiting until Scott gives the go ahead and I will update the website.

Lee it was great seeing you and Mark out there. I fully expect sticks like you'all to challenge for the win next time!
