New RANGER 520?

Anyone have any scoop on the new 520? Where can I see one?

Jim,
The new boat everyone is so excited about is the Z520.

In summary it is the 520 hull with a Z series top cap. It has the large front deck like the 521 and has the older style compartment lids that don't snap open and closed. It also is rated up to a 250HP motor. Word from the dealer meeting was they run about 75MPH. You can see it at Rangerboats.com.

The web site says its rated for a 250. Can it really hold that new 350 4 stroke yamaha? That thing is over 800 lbs. And 75 mph? I dont know guys, I am looking for a new boat now. I just need to add 1 more truss to my garage to fit it. I think I am going Triton. And arnt most tournements 250 hp max?

Hey Bill, thought you were up at Shasta taking photos of the structures. If I wanted speed I'd get an Allison or something, nope, 55 mph is my comfort zone. See yah Dude

Saw one at Anglers Marine yesterday. Has a few differences to my Z20 that I didnt like. Mainly the boxes have the old rotary latches instead of the locking rail and they are not as well finished as the Z. The new wheels conceal the cool hubs. Many things were just the same and the price is lower than the Z20. The 250 should push that boat faster than 75. My Z with an E-Tec 225 ran 71gps today on a test blast.

Mike the new 520 is so cool. I didnt get to spend the time there today as I wanted but i will be by next week. I love the width and the way it is layed out. I think the 521 is going up for sale. Probably will have to get the dual consoles for the times when the wife and kids do go though. Looking forward to a great 2008! Capitol City Marine.. Number 1!

I ordered mine four weeks ago from Mike at C & C. Barely slept a wink since.

Should have it a week or two before Thankgiving. I'll be sure to post my thoughts as I get it broke in.

I went by to see the one Mike has on the floor, It is definately an awesome boat.
