Another thought from TOC at Havasu

We found the fishing tough after a great topwater practice. Dave Poolman (my partner) managed 3 nice fish on Saturday including a 4+ that might have gotten some money, but his Honda inexplicitly died on our run in to checking in, which DQ'ed us. We fished our guts out though, and died trying. I think the majority of folks found the going very tough on Saturday.

One of the great things about fishing is meeting new friends and sharing a few laughs along the way. I was luckey enough to get to share a place to stay with a couple of guys that are really cool.

Doug Norvell and Hugh Michell. Thanks again for the hospitality and freindship. You two are really some great stand-up guys, and I'm glad I got to spend some time "hanging out" with you. And of course my partner, David Poolman, who basically caught most of our fish with your goofy little lure I never would have thrown.

Dave is relentless and forced me to keep at it, during tuff conditions the lake offered. I won't be able to fish this next season with him so do yourself a favor and hook up with him if you need a partner, but only if you want to return next year to the TOC.

Even though we didn't win anything, the whole experience was great, and it will be remembered for a great time had by all.
