Anyone know when the 2008 Stren rules will be published?.

I'm wondering if the "off limits" rules will be similar to what the've done with the tour rules.

I called today and the answer was that they "do not know but the pamplet will be mailed out soon with registration dates as well as the 2008 rules". I am tempted to call Chris but really do not want to bug him. Sure would be nice to fish won bass and the stren again back to back. Anyone talked with Chris Jones? RR

Those should have been the FLW Series and the FLW Tour pamphlets. From what I have heard the Stren pamphlet is not delivered yet.

Hopefully they do not have an off-limits for the Stren. If they do Stren anglers will not be able to pre-fish for 2 of the 3 Northern CA WON Bass Pro/Ams. Then we either just show us and go fishing or pre-fish while there is a tournament underway. Let's hope they did not add the off-limits to the Stren.

should have stated "THE STREN SERIES PAMPHLETS HAVE NOT BEEN CREATED YET" that was what my phone call was about and they stated they are NOT SURE if there is going to be an off limits or not. The FLW SERIES off limits is 11 days prior to the first practice day. If the "off limits" for the STREN Changes, This would mean practice would be prior to xmas and the official practice days prior to the 9th (first tournament day). This means not being able to fish both circuits. Hope this makes sense. RR

The other thing to consider is that with the off-limits you can only fish in practice with another competitor in the FLW tournament. If that is the case all Stren anglers would not be able to fish the WON Pro/Ams.

Lets REALLY hope they do not have the off-limits for Stren. Otherwise we will have to choose between STren and WON and that will hurt both circuits.

Howard,

thanks for the heads up! I Knew somebody with some major pull could drag it out of them! Now if I can just keep you at home and not fishing for a couple of weeks in January things would be great! still remember you winning that Bassmaster event, that was a very happy day! thanks again, RR

I was wanting to fish the back to back Won/FLW tourneys at Shasta and Clearlake this year.

Besides, I need all the practice I can get!
