I think Seig will skip FLW so he can fish the Clearlake Bassmasters Bass Derby on Saturday which he won last year ;) ;) ;)

Does anyone know what the AOY for the Stren , and the NG , wins? I've never seen it publicized. Just Curious!

My pics are

Jeff Billings
Cody Meyer
Randy McAbee
Matt Newman

Little birdie says a couple of these guys are on them!

Jeff should be tough to beat! I hope I don't jinx him... but, high 20's maybe even 30 for him today... with a couple of mid 20's tomorrow and friday. Should be doable!

Randy's success on Clear Lake this time of year is well documented - he's got to be one of the favorites!

Cody Meyer is the next BIG SHOW guy from the west coast. Too bad he can't qualify for the BASS Elites out here.. He is the real deal.... and only 24!

Matt should be on them... haven't heard yet - but, I know what he fished last year this time because we worked together on it a little - He should be in the 20's on every day!

I hope I didn't jinx all these guys! Good luck to everyone up there.

I'd also watch for these guys

Jared Lintner - Clear lake master - probably happy to be near home!
Brent Ehrler - What can you say - holds a World Champion title and he likes Clear Lake.
Jimmy Reese - Maybe the best ever on Clear Lake... and that Mona Vie should help him keep his energy up all day! :)
Jim Davis - Big man can catch 'em and he's due.
Mike Folkstad - Maybe the west all time best and he can catch them anytime anywhere!
Chris Zaldain - This youngster has been on fire for 2007 and is out to make his name known. He puts in the hard work and its gotta pay off with a win sometime soon!

It wouldn't suprise me to see 6 of these guys make the top 10 and all 10 of them make the top 50!

I am sure hoping for a couple of Washington guys to be in the top 10. I know I am going to be taking a beating from you guys from down there, but I gotta root for the underdogs.

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

3 day tournament - One big day won't mean much unless they can back it up.. Plus some of the guys in the 15-18 lb range are going to make a big jump tomorrow.

I'll be there... I will post updates to anything I see to this site via my blackjack.

Thats true Tom, 3 days is a long time to keep bringing in 27lb bags...But there are a few guys in there that are VERY consistant. I am still going with R. Mcabee Jr. to take it and AOY, but watch for Chris Zaldain and Jared L. to be right up there....and of course it looks like Sieg is on 'em....

Oh stop gloating Tom... :) Those were easy picks.....

I am really not surprised with Chris Zaldain, I have fished against this guy a few times (including Clear Lake). Those events were with Bass-n-tubes and fishing from Kickboats. He is a Natural!

Gotta root for Randy Jr. to get the AOY! Pretty cool....

By the way Tom....Basswest kicks Arrrse! I think it is time for an in-depth Mcabee Article....
